PearlBlueGT
So my mother starter her car in the morning and it was shaking like it has bad vacuum leak, there's no CEL. I know she filled up a couple days ago, maybe bad gas? What could be causing this, where could I start checking?

PearlBlueGT
So I was able to pull code today, its P0302, cylinder #2 misfire. Do they sell ignition wires separate for these cars or do I have to buy coil with it as well?
Tehnation
No ignition wires, check coil pack and spark plug.
PearlBlueGT
I got the coil pack out, how do I check with multimeter, there are three contacts on coil. Spark plug looks good.
PearlBlueGT
Is this part (circled in red) supposed to ground to the engine? It's metal and when I turned on engine it would send spark to engine if I held it close by.
Tehnation
Swap the coil pack with another cylinder and see if the code changes to that cylinder.
Tehnation
Fuel trims should be within +- 5.
AF_3C2
I have the same problem- rough idle, can hear a miss at idle, and throws a Cylinder 2 misfire code every now and then. Other than that, the car pulls fine and appears to run clean under acceleration, so I was going to start looking at the intake/TGV gaskets for a leak. Dealer wanted to tell me the miss is normal for this generation LGT and the plugs are not to be touched until the 105k service. /rolls eyes
PearlBlueGT
Weird thing but I've swapped coils between cylinder 1 and 2 and reset CEL and then I turned on engine to see if CEL would come back. Car idled rough for 1/2 a minute or so and then started running great again! I went to gas station and topped off tank (2.3 gallons) and its been running great on way back from gas station.
