bluesuby
The snow tires should be good to come off this weekend. I've noticed a little bubbling of the paint near the center caps on my factory alloys (5 spoke LGT wagon) which is likely a small area of rust. My plan is to use the Dremel with a few of those barrel-shaped sandpaper attachments to remove the paint/rust. I need some input regarding primer (needed or not) and something close to the factory color in either spray or touch-up bottle. Reputable brand name would be nice, as well as availability in a chain auto store (Advance, Autozone, Pep Boys). My other tires are on a second set of wheels, so there's no hurry to get this done. bluesuby
Thanks. During the winter I doubt anyone will be looking too closely. Anyone know if primer is a good idea?

M. Schneider
For proper DIY wheel refinish try the Germany based Wurth products. They're available here in the states at better Automotive Paint supply jobbers or online. http://www.wurthusa.com/web/en/website/index.php Their silver is a direct match to the VW & Porsche silver metallic used on those steel wheels.
