zmfc
I am a bit low on oil and cannot find the oil that I originally put in anywhere near me. I am going home soon and doing an oil change anyway, but my oil level is a bit lower than I am comfortable driving around with anyway so I wanted to put something in it just to tide me over. Is it okay to mix different brands of oil like that? I am running Amsoil 0w-30 in my 05 gt currently if that helps.
Max Capacity
Amsoil says you can add other oil but it will shorten the oil's life. Just add any synthetic. Check out their web site. You'll be fine. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). CHECK your oil, these cars use it. apexi
It's perfectly safe to mix different weights and different types of oil, use whatever you want.
