garygbnj
I would like to get more brightness and distance from my low beams and fogs. Car is a 2006 LGT. I do not want aggravation and constant repair. I want rleliability & performance. Any recommendations would be appreciated. gary

garygbnj
Which HID is recommended for low beams and which HID for the fog lights? The fogs are now aimed like fogs. Will the HID be aimed further out? thanks
rob-2
They're a bunch of kits ranging between 80 and $300. You cannot project the headlights further down the road without blinding oncoming traffic. If you want to improve long range view as well I suggested you also improve the highbeam headlight to something whiter.
iNVAR
Read here, and check that subforum. http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/daniel-stern-lighting-and-subaru-headlight-options-45991.html Also, installing HIDs on your low beams requires you disable the DRL. PirateDuck
While you may hear differing opinions, do not get the plug and play HIDs. Unless you change out your projectors, HIDs are awful, illegal, and generally piss off other drivers. Very sound advice can be found here.http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/daniel-stern-lighting-and-subaru-headlight-options-45991.html
grovlet
+1 for Osrams & HIR Highs!!! The debate on HIDs is always controversial - but since we already have projector headlights (+ Squirrel Finders LOL) - it should be pretty safe in the LGT - But the Osrams + HIRs provide more than enough light and are standard bulbs (ie not requiring any wiring adjustments or disabling DRLs)
