AES
I just bought a 2014 Subaru Legacy. Under the front bumper there are two partially dislodged plastic pieces. One on the passenger side and one on the driver side. They now swing below the bumper, inches from the ground. What are these? Is this the subject of a recall? Is repair covered under warranty? Should I try to repair it myself?
DonnyJagaru
Hmmm...sounds like those snap-fasteners are missing. Did this car take a hit to the front? I say this because I can't think of any reason why a new car would need to have this part removed for any service. Of course I could be wrong. AES
Thank you. Last week I put on new wheels with snow tires. It was also driven in heavy snow. Two different parts were dislodged on both sides of the bumper.
AES
I brought the car to my Subaru dealer service center. They re-inserted the pieces at no charge.
