forcedinductiongt
My 2006 5eat is already stage two, and I'll be installing a six star speed refurbished vf52 and walbro 255 within the next week. Is this safe to drive to the tuner (efi logics)? It's about 50 miles highway, I figured it would be fine as long as I don't romp on it Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk
Nrw
Loop the wastegate. Doing that will cause you to only make a max of about 7psi. Other than that should be fine on stock injectors and not romping on it.

kongzilla
Stay out of high boost and you should be fine.
Industry
Not to hijack, but I have sort of the same question. I need to drive a bit further, and my car is on the stock tune. It's getting a vf52 and catless downpipe. The other wrench in the mix is that it's a fresh rebuild. Any advice?
ragman
If you have an accessport or the cables for opensource; most all tuners can give you a basemap to load to get you to them safely.
Industry
I do have a tactrix 2.
quick4dr
Give Pete at EFI a shout I'm sure he could have Mikey whip up a basemap to get you there safe. (if you have a cable, or accessport) Or as others stated loop the waste gate and drive like grandma on the way to church.
acumenhokie
Whoever is tuning you should be able to send you a base map. Keep in the lower RPMs and out of boost and you should be ok. I drove 100 miles to my tuner after swapping turbo (20g), plugs, ebcs, injectors, fuel pump and more.

I wonder if i'll even need a base map, that 20g set up is quite a bit far from the vf52 im installing hahah Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk

Bassman81
Forced Induction, How did your VF52 look like from SixStarSpeed. Sorry to hijack the thread, but I'm interested in the VF52 swap myself.

It looked great, came with braided steel oil lines...almost brand new
