ChrisC92 Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 Hey I want to put a 2DIN car stereo in my car but then I have to start rebuilding the dash. Has anyone done this before? Is there any good tutorials for this? I've heard someone removing the ashtray to make a 2DIN fit in an old Impreza, something i think i will do if possible.
Zues Marine Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 IDK if the cars up in Norway are US or JDM spec, but if JDM (where '94 was the first year of the 2nd gen).. than a 2 Din should fit without modification
rkrenicki Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 They are neither US or Japanese spec.. They would be General Market.. Aka European/Australian spec. The first gen legacy should have a 2.5 DIN stereo location. A double din radio will fit fine with a 1/2 DIN gap above it. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

ChrisC92 Posted February 4, 2014 Author Posted February 4, 2014 But it looks like it's just single DIN in my dash Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
twisty Posted February 4, 2014 Posted February 4, 2014 you have a single din stereo in there now, but there is room for a double din. hell, my suppliers (best friend owns a custom shop that i help out) dont even offer a fit kit for it, so its already set up for standard double din from the factory. only accessories available for the fitment is a space filler or a slot if you put in another single din.
ChrisC92 Posted February 4, 2014 Author Posted February 4, 2014 Thanks, I'm going to open it up abd take a look then Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk
