funnyman06
Just run the OEM subaro filter. It's extremely well made and can be purchased at any Subaru dealer. Im putting down over 300hp on the stock filter and intake.
Phillip J. Fry
ran stock for 8 years. switched to avo 6 months ago. with stock on my reflashed 5eat i datalogged a 60-100 at 7.7 seconds. even had leaf chunks in it and a passenger. cant go wrong with either really. good oil is probably better than worrying about an airfilter. ipekur
I put OEM 12 air filter in last year, and it made huge difference. Less whining, less hesitation. From all the responses, I was amazed by how many people think that air-filters are just unimportant part of the total car... Good air-filter is extremely important, and as important as good oil. Especially in the turbo car. In the regular car the engine vacuum sucks the air through the air-filter and unless filter is totally blocked from dirt there would be minimal differences between high airflow filter and low.... If you are putting air-filter with less airflow in the turbo, the strain on the turbo increases exponentially of the airflow. Since turbo is driven by exhaust the resistance of the air puts the strain on the shaft and "stupid" nail bearings we have in the regular LGT turbo. So do not ignore air-filters! Merc6
You also have the other end of the spectrum where the filter doesn't filter and the blades of the turbo are damaged by a filter that literally isn't filtering shit... http://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=4699&stc=1&d=1177950424 2005 Satin White Pearl Subaru Legacy 2.5 GT Unlimited 5EAT (Project Car) 2019 Agate Black Ford Explorer XLT 4WD (DD)
