jakeh9890
hey guys I'm picking up my 05 lgt Sunday. it has been to buy infamous but I guess the tune still needs some work and id like to do a real dyno tune on it so I'd like to find a good place with a four-wheeled dyno thats recomended by you guys. I live in upstate ny but its worth a trip to me to get it done right
Perscitus
ping Mike, Adam or Rey @ AZP Installs for a good recommendation. Or check out MR Performance (MRPBuilt) in Long Island. They have a proper 4WD dyno setup, an in-house tuner and a few NY/NJ/CT tuners that stop by.
jakeh9890
Ok thanks. I here there's a four-wheeled I know in Buffalo does anybody know about that place?
AZP Installs
In buffalo you will want to see Mike @ Innovative. If you are closer to downstate you will want to look at EFI Logics, Precision Tuning or Area 1320. jakeh9890
is there one of those tuners that are considered superior? innovative is easier for me to get to but i'm willing to travel to get it tuned correctly.
eckseleven
My car was tuned by Innovative. They seem to be a very knowledgeable bunch of guys. Mike can tune it however you want and will then do a test drive with you to make sure everything is solid.
jakeh9890
I was curious about them but ive heard mixed reviews about reliability.
eckseleven
Hmm maybe it's like any other shop that does a lot of business - occasionally there's going to be a complaint.
jakeh9890
Im sure thats prolly what it is but i emailed them and they never responded so now im talking to tuning alliance and i think ive found my tuner.
eckseleven
Ok. If you are willing to drive that far, there is also Bren Tuning in MA. Looks like the same distance for you. There is a lot of positive feedback on this forum about him.
stm25rs
EFI Logics is one of the most highly regarded/well known Subie shops in the country. I have no personal experience with them, but would have no reservations going there from what I currently know. I was etuned by Bren Tuning, and was happy with it. It was only stage 1, so not a difficult task, but still great customer service. First data log showed high load/rpm knock, and he immediately recognized it as either dirty MAF (I had just cleaned about 5k miles prior) or the fuel pump. I installed a DW65c, relogged, and knock was gone.

Yamba6
From my knowledge... Mike at Innovative is the best guy in the area when dealing with Subaru. I know they have tried lots of parts out to see which will give them the best gain, they have I believe the record for fastest 1/4 mile on a stock turbo with an STI. (believe world record) The guy knows his Subaru. Once I replace my turbo, I'll be going to him as well.
