Payback45 Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 I have a aftermarket IC installed and now my front strut bar, when installed, presses down on the IC pretty good and I'm not a fan. My question is, does any one make a front strut bar to address this issue? What I don't want to happen is for the strut bar push the IC off the throttle body hose because that was a nightmare to put on, as some of you know. I have a 09 legacy gt Thanks
idiot4hire Posted December 28, 2013 Posted December 28, 2013 I would say just take off the strut bar it's just a show off piece on these cars.
Payback45 Posted December 28, 2013 Author Posted December 28, 2013 It's off right now. So no benefit at all with it on?
idiot4hire Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 It looks good I guess. Keep it off if you want to get better handling get rear sway bar. Besides tires the sway bar made the biggest improvement on my car
Waxiboy Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 I have AVO top mount and OEM Legacy strut bar with no issues. I even have the engine cover on as well.
idiot4hire Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 The avo is thinner then Perrin that could be a cause. I've also never heard of a oem legacy strut bar, JDM?

I'm not even sure about this anymore, I took my front Cusco off my OBXT, which was totaled in a double rollover accident, bent it back into shape over my knee, polished it up and stuck it in the spec.b, and good as new. You really think it makes a difference at the chassis' limits? It does look shiny, and is a good spot to mount random accessories to though.
