wasel40
Hi, I've a 2010 Legacy GT I'm thinking to Install a CP pistons with higher compretion than stock pistons 1:9. Also, I'll have Manley connecting rod. K&N plate intake filter already installed. I wanna tuning it up whith a map that is suitable for my modifications using COBB access port. Is it posible? Or if there any other safe way to tune up..? Does it affect the si-Drive ?
cryo
Getting off of the stock map onto a tuned stage 1 map may be a good benefit BUT did the engine blow on you? Otherwise I can't say I suggest tearning it open just to install new pistons. The si drive is still functional after tuning. Sorry if I read your post wrong. wasel40
I'll replace pistons becase the engine consuming alot of oil. The mechanic sayed that one of the piston or its compression rings is broken. However, the engine must be open. By changing the compresstion from 1:8.4 to 1:9 it may have knocking. Isn't it? acumenhokie
I'm guessing you're outside of the US since your car has SI drive. I thought I read the other day that the Cobb AP only supports the USDM ECU. What other modifications do you have or what do you think caused the motor to go? wasel40
You're right. I'm living in Saudi Arabia. My car stock and it have around 72k mile. I'm the 2nd owner and I love to push it hard. Maybe, its engine components can't resist.
