No problem! and congrats to your LGT-B! what number is yours?

It is my pleasure in sharing any experiences to make your life easier :)

There's not too many "choices" in things for legacy per say...

I usually go for "clean look" rather than messy and crazy.

So if you go in any direction I have and need some help, just let me know.

I will try to help you as best as I can.

What are your plans??

Yeah there is def not to many things for this car, but a clean look/sleeper is my goal too!

So far i have only done performance bits but as far as exterior goes i have only plasti dip the grill black and thats it lol But i thought about doing what you did too lol Where did you get the L7 badge?

I Had to take the fog lights out because of the FMIC so i was thinking of doing what you did. A Benz style light or str8/flat one like yours. I wonder if i can make it work with the stock light switch.

The front lip is also on my list as well as maybe a super light headlight vinyl tint and red for the back.

I got the front "shield" L7 badge from Japan.

Rear one is not a whole emblem but a layover decal, mine is carbon fiber with brushed metal "L7"

Here's the link, it fits decently but new blade was used to make it perfect.

As to the fog light, I initially wired it to the original fog wiring and it did work with the switch on the turn signal knob. but i didn't like the fact that it would only turn on when headlight was on. so i decided to run it completely independent with switch in the arm rest. so i run the LED constantly (when car is on).

I originally had the legacy front lip on the car, which was perfect, but price was not cheap...so when it broke due to ice on the road, I went with STi lip, which is about $60. much cheaper and as you see, it looks better than legacy one.

If you have any questions as to anything I did, feel free to ask me on threads or PM anytime!

wish you best with mods! :)

Does the STi front lip fit on our cars? I have a 2005 Lgt and have been looking at front lips. Does it need to be trimmed?

I have the STi front lip on my car and as you see, no trimming, fits well!

If you just put it on and start "screwing" at it, yes you'd need to.

But the method I used would take care of the small difference (less than 1 inch).

It's all in the way you start the process and working your way in.

If you want detailed instruction, let me know, I have already helped many with my instruction..

Only thing I ask in return is...pic of your outcome! simple pleasure I get out of great results! :)

(oh and "thanking me" on this forum would be a bonus. lol)

It would actually be great if you could explain the process. Trimming is a pain.

I can promise I'll post a pic of my outcome, but I can't promise when I am going to be picking up an STi lip haha! I've been saving for an AP:lol:

I noticed they are pretty cheap though so maybe I'll consider it first.

Another small update :)

Today installed JDM dual climate control kit with dnx890hd, JL XD600 and (2) 12" JL.

Outcome is AWESOME, except I'm not a big fan of the subs (it had been sitting in my garage for almost a year)...I'm used to w6s.

But it still sounds great, clean and hard hitting! kind of like the color of subs...matches my car color a bit. lol

Tomorrow Hotchkis front and rear sway bars will be installed. can't wait!! ha ha

Here are some of the pictures of the outcome (sorry it was night so pictures aren't too great)

Very nice, I want that roof spoiler

how did you make your grill??

I took apart the stock one, cut all, then used bondo to fill areas.

Then used chicken wire, yes chicken wires from home depot for grill.

I precut a wood piece that is in shape of the grill frame, then formed the grill over it, then spray paint, then the emblem.

Pretty easy process but takes time.

was was the easiest way to clear your headlights

toast the headlight in oven. i did it at 300 degrees for about 15 min.

keep an eye on it since it would vary by ovens.

then remove clear housing, pop off the orange inserts, then use new sealing compound (from auto stores), reheat, then make sure it's put together tight, then let it cool.

It's much easier than it seems :)
