zx6rexx
2 years ago I installed the CNT catted downpipe and magnaflow cat-back system to my car. I flashed the stage 2 map and the car has been running fine (as far as i can tell) ever since. I have now gotten back into tuning/upgrading my legacy and am about to install the Grimmspeed catless up-pipe. My question is: will I need to flash the ecu with the accessport back to stock, and then re-flash to stage 2 to account for the catless UP, as well as to clear the code for the EGT? iNVAR
No. Stage 2 map is all set up. No need to reflash, reset, or do anything else.
zx6rexx
got it. will i need to install a resistor to the sensor, or will the AP take care of the CEL?
TheBlackPearl
You will need to do the resistor to fix the CEL or have a tuner remove it in the tune. Self proclaimed PNW Craiglist find of the day Champion, April 2014.
iNVAR
The Stage 2 map already removes the CEL, so NO, you do not need to have it removed by hand or install a resistor.
TheBlackPearl
Damn noobs spreading mis-information... I swore I read that someone swapped to an STI up on an '05, running a Cobb map and got the CEL. My bad! Self proclaimed PNW Craiglist find of the day Champion, April 2014.
