ECM failure on 8K mile 2013

So,

 

Went to start the wifes car, which is a brand new 2013 3.6R and sure enough, it won't start. Pulled the code and it spit out P1578 (Meter Failure) what ever that means..

 

From what I've been able to find, this code pops up when your gages are really bad, OR your ECM is failing.

And you don't have anything hanging on the OBD port? Stuff there can cause trouble on the CAN bus resulting in strange things. (I have experienced it.)

Nothing, this car is totally factory stock.
