Canon
Is that a decent price? They sell for $219 on the Perrin website...
Max Capacity
No, don't buy that. Your stock intake is hard to beat until your making 400WHP + It will only cause problems. Put your money some where else. Good thing you asked. Do that before you buy anything for the car. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. ibr_adam09
You'll need a tune for any intake, including the spt, which isn't the brightest of all intakes btw.
tDoug60
I don't get how a intake made by Subaru isn't good LOL. I've been told they don't have a good air flow. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk
idiot4hire
Do not get a intake. Save your money and get a proper tune on it. Your car will be faster and healthier with a tune rather then a intake

blongo804
The MAF placement on the SPT makes it junk. Like above ^, they can't get everything perfect.

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk 2 Any part Subaru sells that is labeled "SPT" is made by someone other than Subaru. Subaru just puts their name on it. Only STI parts are made by Subaru. Redryan98
My car came with an SPT intake put on by the previous owners. After seeing several threads noting how ineffective/bad they are I found myself a used stock intake. Never thought I'd say this but I can't wait to put on a stock intake! After seeing several threads noting how ineffective/bad they are I found myself a used stock intake. Never thought I'd say this but I can't wait to put on a stock intake! Good thought process there. Even to a back yard mechanic, you can see the stock intake makes more sense then the SPT. You don't get much more cold air then the stock intake. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). CHECK your oil, these cars use it. chato
yeah, as far as I could tell, the intake just makes your car sound like a giant piece of industrial machinery/spaceship and messes up your MAF scaling.
