MHSubie
Hi guys. I might be getting 18x8 mach m5 wheels for my 05 Lgt. I need some input. Will 18's fit on my car? It is lowered 1.5 inches all around. Thanks guys

ruggerheist
If you stretch your tires you should seriously consider fisting yourself and leaving the forum. Kbye
MHSubie
Yeah about that.. It would probably be dumb to stretch on 18x8s..
iNVAR
Yeah about that.. It would probably be dumb to stretch Seriously though, it's just my personal opinion, but I am not a fan of the practice at all. I'm not sure why people do it for looks because tire stretching originated not for looks, but for actual practical purposes; people did it for clearance issues. People wanted to run really wide rims, but didn't have the clearance, even with rolled fenders, so they had to stretch to clear. Now people just seem to be stretching tires for shits and giggles. Tires should square up nicely with the rim unless you have clearance issues, or you really really like the stretched look, or you like doing dangerous and out of spec stuff to your tires (for the extreme stretches, of course.) A little bit of stretch should allow to bead to still sit just fine, but I've seen some stretches that are so freaking ridiculous... ugh. Anyway.... </end rant>
