frank_ster
Don't forget the heater core , they heat about 24 k btu My 2.5 I wagon takes 3x as long to warm with the heater on full blast. So I turn off the heater or on low setting during warmup. Some people are complaining about the chevy cruise as the temp needle will drop from half way down to under 1/4 when you turn on the heater ! Now that's thinking out of the boxer! fyi all 05 + legacy's have built in code reader
foxymomo
change the t stat .. the radiator could be the size of texas with a correct t stat and it would stay at correct temperatures. this. your thermostat is obviously no good. just because you have an aftermarket radiator doesnt mean your engine is now extra super cool because it does such a good job. thermostat is allowing cold coolant to flow through, if it were functioning properly it would stay shut until the coolant reaches the correct temp. you dont need to shell out big bucks for one either, under 20 dollars for a gates t stat on amazon. get it changed.
