IGW
O I'm the same way...mostly been with airride on trucks. I bought a 1999 mazda brand new and within 30 built a new chassis from the firewall back out of 2×3×3/16 tubing. I have the "itch". If I'm fine on the stock map then I'm going to leave well enuff alone untill I fell the need to go faster. Lately I have been going below the speed limit on the interstate to see how good my gas mileage can be. A friend of mine has an aftermarket uppipe, could I install that without a tune? m sprank
Yes. You will need a resistor to "trick" the ecm when you remove the EGT sensor. A tune will gain mpg at cruise. You can adjust the ACVS for slightly better mpg.
IGW
Dose the resistor plug into where the sensor once did
m sprank
Yes. Just cross the terminals with the resistor. 2.2kohm 5 watt. http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/unofficial-05-06-lgt-2-2k-5w-resistor-up-pipe-131488.html for reference. IGW
Thank you very much for taking the time to answer my questions. Will the stage 1 tune from a accessport help me increase mpg?
m sprank
It should. But once again, most customers dont realize the savings because they are using more right foot.
