ScoobyDoo94
Got the TGV sorted, but it still won't start. No codes. Engine kicks back when it dies and I don't know where to go next. Any ideas? Scratch that, P2005 code now...

ScoobyDoo94
It can't be, the engine was 100% in time when it got put in there's no way it could be off.
mwiener2
Your marks line up, but are they actually 180 off? Are the cam gears correctly installed on the cams? My Mods List (Updated 8/22/17) 2005 Outback FMT Running on Electrons
ScoobyDoo94
They should be. There's only one way to put them on as far as I know.
mwiener2
Yeah, but did you put it on that way? You can bolt the cam on with it in the wrong position. My Mods List (Updated 8/22/17) 2005 Outback FMT Running on Electrons
ScoobyDoo94
I did. The dial pin landed in the right spot on both intakes and the exhausts were on right too.
ScoobyDoo94
Post above is wrong. My passenger side intake was NOT installed correctly. The pin was right beside the hole it was supposed to be in. With any luck I don't have any bent valves and the knock was pre-detonation, and not valve munching horror. It won't be until Thursday that I'll get the new sprocket (the hole that the alignment pin goes in got egg shaped and I don't feel comfortable using it.)
