Max Capacity
I install PGW glass everyday and hardly ever seen a distortion. Its basically the same company/quality/fitment as PPG just sold under a different name. Don't give up on the brand just because of 1 windshield. Thanks for chiming in, I was hoping you would find this thread. I understand you have a good background in this topic. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). CHECK your oil, these cars use it. lockmedic
The shop that did mine was $150-200 cheaper than the closest competitor. I figured wavy glass was a consequence of that. They did an otherwise stellar job on it. It's not something that could cause an accident, just sort of annoys me that it's there. I took a 4 hour trip in the car yesterday and while running down the interstate, the white line was clearly distorted as viewed through that section of the windshield. Pretty sure I could photograph it.
IGW
I see a big difference in the livespan and durability of chinesse/foreign glass vs a quality piece. Ppg Pgw Pilkington Carlex Carlite Guardian.....these tend to be quality manufactures
