michiganSOOB
new bushing are not the complete answer you also probably need new linkage bushings or a new linkage i went through this myself your best bet is to get under the car and figure out what is sloppy i retrofitted my linkages with some welding to be tighter than oem, i know somewhere online you can get a new linkage part http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/112521-97-legacy-sloppy-shifter-fix-howto/ a decent how to EDIT: by linkage i mean shifter u-joint

pleaidestar
Yeah its really a different feel, crisp and short..I put a shortshifter in my first gen wagon with the kartboy front linkage kit, I have yet to get the rear bushing bit I'm not sure if that rear bushing will make a bigger difference since the original bushing is in good shape.
