98legacygtPOS
My legacy is throwing a P0740 (torque converter solenoid malfunction) its really confusing me because my car is a manual (no torque converter) and i checked the transmission code already to make sure it came with a manual from the factory. Is there any way to fix this? I've already searched for at least an hour and couldn't find anything.
1055
You may have a ground issue at the pcm. The only difference between the automatic and manual ecu is a single pin that is either grounded or left open. Pull up model specific wiring diagram, find pin. See what its supposed to be. Hopefully success.
ehsnils
Have you tried to reset it? It's entirely possible that the ECU has had a brain fart. In many cases the same software is running on all ECUs but the behavior depends on parameters loaded at the factory.
