thatforesterguy
What's the best standalone for the money? I'm running a 11.5:1 compression, delta 2000 grind cammed, ported and polished heads with the bigger 05+ intake and a full 2.5 inch cat less exhaust with individual throttle bodies. Don't wanna spend more than 1000 and its for a 1996 leggy.
Sludgeroo
If you seriously have itb's you'll need like a MS3 (megasquirt) and that has the ability to map and control 4 tps's.
spooln30
So you have a 05 intake manifold but also have ITB's? Pics please. If I were to have ITBs on a Subaru engine they would be directly bolted to the heads with a custom flange. I am interested to see how you did yours due to the lack of upward space. Would be cool. Sludgeroo
Have individual runners with spots for injectors in them.... id like that.
thatforesterguy
Well I currently have the 05 intake but OBX makes an ITB setup that I'm looking at.
Sludgeroo
Really? This is news to me... good to know..
thatforesterguy
Yeah, there was a guy on WNCrides.com that made like 205awhp N/A with the OBX racing ITB setup and a standalone. Talk about a fun car! It was a WRX killer with no hairdryer. Surprised a lot of lightly modded rexes
Sludgeroo
I've seen the tomei like free flow intake mani, never an itb setup. Velocity stacks would look cool as hell.
thatforesterguy
Yeah buddy! That's what I'm hoping to put on top with something to catch water because I want to cut 4 holes in the hood and have the stacks stick out like an old school rat rod with that AWD goodness! Sludgeroo
I really like where this is going. A couple guys I asked run their itb setup on megasquirt in their 4age.. im a secret old school Toyota / ae86 freak. You'd just have to run it map obviously, which is the best thing to use for megasquirt.
