rmhuntley
I changed the plugs on my Legacy today, and the idle rent up to about 2k. to change the plugs, I removed the Air intake, and also the battery. just to get easier access. Any ideas?
monkeyposeur
What plugs did you use? Does it stay idling at 2k? It is normal for the engine to idle around 2k after resetting the ecu. Then as it warms up and gathes info the idle drops back to normal levels. Also, it is supposed to intially idle a little high then drop down. jp233
The only plugs werf a sheet on these 2.2 n/a cars are the NGK BKR6E Cheap and so super easy to replace. I set my gap about 0.38" and let it open up over time. At 25k it is like clockwork where it will surge and lope at red lights with Max AC on. Time to change them. There is a ton of info over at legacycentral.org
