Timing Chain Cover Oil Leak - $ 1,500.00
d0bdish18 replied to JohnathanPrice's topic in Sixth Generation Legacy (2015 -2019 )
How bad is that leak? If you don't have the warranty anymore, I would suggest to find an independent mechanic. Dealership will charge way more for the same job vs any other mechanic. At least getting a quote will give you a better idea. Sent from my Pixel 4 using Tapatalk -

Tried again pressing every button in a random sequence and the car started... Again have no idea what I did. I'll keep testing. Sent from my Pixel 4 using Tapatalk

Where did you get those fog lights and housing? I've checked for the parts, and found only the standard black housing. Sent from my Pixel 4 using Tapatalk

Hi guys. I have 2016 base model, and I have a base key without any remote start button. However, a few weeks ago I was showing my wife for to lock and unlock the car (engine was off, car was locked) and somehow after a certain combination the car just started. I was unable to recreate this and can't find any information about it. Any ideas what to press? Sent from my Pixel 4 using Tapatalk

6th Gen Legacy Wheel Thread
d0bdish18 replied to tigger73's topic in Sixth Generation Legacy (2015 -2019 )
My "wheel math" is not strong as it's my first car, so would need your thoughts guys. I'm looking into two different wheels: 18x8.5 ET45 (On 245/45/R18) Or 18x8 ET38 (also on 245/45/R18) Which one would be less "problematic" in terms of fitment / rubbing and less speedo error? It's for 2016 Legacy, Base model, all stock. Sent from my Pixel 4 using Tapatalk -
Side light not working
d0bdish18 replied to d0bdish18's topic in Sixth Generation Legacy (2015 -2019 )
I've found the bulbs, but I have some hard time taking the old ones out. Should they just pop up? I'm afraid to pull them hard enough to destroy the wires. Sent from my Pixel 4 using Tapatalk -
Hey guys. Does anyone know how to fix this light? (Or it should be on one side only?) I've tried Googling and ended up with nothing. Sent from my Pixel 4 using Tapatalk

2015 Subaru Legacy Axles Keep Breaking
d0bdish18 replied to Vito's topic in Sixth Generation Legacy (2015 -2019 )
What were the symptoms? I have an issue that some people told me that it might be an axle, while others say that it might be a differential. When I do a slow U turn or some times when I park slowly in a sharp angle, my rear tire feels like it's coming off just for a second. The rear of the car feels like it's shifting half of the inch just for a split second. Not sure what is happening, but everything it does that, it feels like I'm running over something or someone. Have an appointment with the dealer in a month to check it out. Sent from my Pixel 4 using Tapatalk -

Dragging - CVT or brakes?
d0bdish18 replied to d0bdish18's topic in Sixth Generation Legacy (2015 -2019 )
Yes, I can hear clearly that emergency break is fully released. After all day of researching I found this on Subaru website. But because I'm basically a noob in mechanical terms, I have no idea if that explains everything or not: "CVT Torque Converter Due to the linear nature of the CVT, the torque converter is able to partially lock-up at approximately 9 km/h then lock up completely at 24 km/h, and remain locked as the gear ratio changes." I think I have to find someone else with CVT and test it Sent from my Pixel 4 using Tapatalk -
Hey guys. First the posting here, so sorry if it's not the right forum section. I bought my first ever car a few weeks ago: Legacy 2016 2.5i - 45k miles. It drives fine, besides the slightest break squeak sound. But today I noticed that when my car is rolling at 20-30 Miles/H I feel that it's dragging like a brake is applied slightly. However, when the speed drops down to 14 Miles/H it feels like brake is released fully and car rolls with ease. I'm not sure if that's a CVT character or something is wrong with brakes. I tried to Google this issue and I could not find anything. Any suggestion will help. Sent from my Pixel 4 using Tapatalk
