A little update: recently I've replaced both rear hub assemblies - that didn't fix the issue. Replaced rear rotors - no change. Installed lowering springs - and boom! No more pulling to right side. Now the steering wheel is perfectly centered and absolutely no signs of car pulling to anu side. I have no idea why though. Maybe while removing everything and putting back it did fix something? Maybe stock springs had issues?

I doubt it's tires. I have the same issue. And it's the same on 2 different sets (Bridgestone and Continental). Mine started not long after I've installed Perin Steering Dampener, but I don't think that's the problem. I'm thinking something is off with either struts, upper control arm or springs. I'm installing new lowering springs + rear hub assembly + new control arms. We'll report back when it's done.

Wheel bearings dead?
d0bdish18 replied to d0bdish18's topic in Sixth Generation Legacy (2015 -2019 )
Just FYI - it was wheel bearing that died. It was so bad, that when I tried to get it out, it split up. After hammering for 2 days, the only way to get out the second part was to unmount the whole knuckle and walk to the nearest garage to use hydraulic press. They did that for 40$. But when I was putting everything together, I've noticed that a dust boot on the upper control arm is cracked and grease is coming out. From what I read, that boot is not sold anywhere and I need to replace the whole arm as a unit. Is that true? -
I'm almost certain that it's the wheel bearings, but still, need another pair of "ears". When the wheel is turning, it sounds like a shopping cart. And from time to time a loud pop and loud squeak 2016 2.5 Base

My 2016 base model is acting weird.. Most of the time, it starts without any issues. After driving a few hours, it then struggles to start. Even thought it was struggling, it was starting. Only 2 times I had to make another attempt to start it when the first one didn't work. It drives perfectly. No problems or lack of power. Here is the video with the weird start ups: Video link The battery was replaced this spring. The spark plugs were replaced this summer. Oil change every 5K. Note* - it happens very randomly. However lately is getting more common. Did anyone experience something like this?

Will Koni Sport Yellows fit the 6th Gen?

A very amateur question: is it easier to get just a coilovers? What's the difference between prices and complexity of the install if done at home (and the ride quality)? Sent from my Pixel 6 using Tapatalk -
Steering wheel not centered
d0bdish18 replied to d0bdish18's topic in Sixth Generation Legacy (2015 -2019 )
No, the steering wheel was never removed. Now I'm starting to think that shop did a poor job with alignment. It took like 15 min. Sent from my Pixel 4 using Tapatalk -
Steering wheel not centered

Actually the steering wheel is stock, just wrapped in leather Sent from my Pixel 4 using Tapatalk -
Hi. Not long time ago I've noticed that my steering wheel is not "dead centered" while driving straight. I didn't the alignment and the only thing "off" they've found was rear camber - left was off in positive numbers and right was off in negative numbers. I've also installed Perrin steering damper. Could it be that? Another guess would be the springs? I do see that my car is almost always tilted when parked (left side just a tiny bit lower than right - by a few millimeters from what it seems like). Is that a problem? Or my paranoia just playing with me? Sent from my Pixel 4 using Tapatalk

Check Engine Light Issues with 2015 Legacy
d0bdish18 replied to wesmithjr100's topic in Sixth Generation Legacy (2015 -2019 )
From all these codes, I would start looking at the electronic part (control modules, relays, wiring, etc) From what I remember (from the owners manual) if the battery is dead or if the car is not started to switch gears you have to insert a screw driver somewhere. So I do think that the problem is not with CVT specifically, but rather with communication between the engine, CVT and ECU. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Car came to a sudden stop on freeway.

I would suggest posting it on the Outback forum and or Reddit (r/mechanicadvice) My guess is that something went wrong with Eyesight. "The Pre-Collision Braking feature can even apply full braking force in emergency situations" - from Subaru. I think that's what happened Sent from my Pixel 4 using Tapatalk
