  1. ABP 05+ LGT Sedan at a parking lot behind the Santa Cruz PD. Went to see woodies on the warf, had a good time with some friends of ours and when getting back, found that we accidently parked in a private parking lot (with just about everyone else that was parked there).
  2. Still working on finding time to do it right. I started a word doc on it and I hope to have it done by mid month. Have a little one on the way so things have been crazy at my house.
  3. Rusty, that is exactly how I felt, but as greg had mentioned in a previous post, he wanted to be as factory as possible. To each their own. My solution was really easy and cheep. I think I spent $60 total on my Aux-in cable and jack, and that includes buying a new sodering iron (and a nicer one for that mater). See my previous posts to see how I got mine to work, and I didn't even re-use any of the pins in the i85 connector at all.
  4. was followed by a 06 Spec B over high way 9 this mornign at about 7:30ish. could see those lovely brick red seats in it .
  5. If the harness under that is a 4pin just like the i85 connector, then you could just try using 4 CDRom cables.
  6. I spent 1hr making mine, it was quite easy. Here is the build list: 2 - CD Rom Audio cables witht he brown 4 pin connector (computer parts store) 1 - 3.5mm head phone surface mount (radio shack and you get 2) 1 - spool of 4 whire cable from radio shack (is quite small and don't remember the guage 1 - sodering iron and soder 1 - role of electrical tape ? - misalinious sizes of shrinkwrap Will come up with the build instructions when I go back and look at mine. But if you get these and like Gergnauman, you should be able to figure this out on your own once you find the pin out on the HU.
  7. I just might get one of these and through a bigger HDD into it and load Win7
  8. I could possible make some cables that I made for myself and sell them. This would likely be only for people w/out steering wheel controls.
  9. just a thought, you may try and see if a sterio shop might have one. This is a clarion unit with subaru's name on it. might only be a shot in the dard, but you might try.
  10. Spotted a White 05-07 LGT sedan debaged on Saratoga. I was just behind you in the left lane as you turned onto I280
  11. If the rails didn't fix it, it is likely the seat frame. They replaced 3 rails (at SOA's demand) before they got the ok to replace the frame. Since then, not a peep from the seat
  12. Ok, played with the illumination on mine. No change. Lights on, lighst off, turn illumination nob to full low, to full bright, to full bright all time and it works great. (06 don't get the bright button, the knob does all the work for us)
  13. dimming didn't seemed affected as well but don't remember if I checked that, but if that was it, I don't care and will leave it as is. That is my GPS and that isn't tied into the system, at least for now. May tie it in later. But I have my Zune 120 connected to it and that sits either on the passanger seet or in a case logic between the seet and console orginazer. If you look closer at my pics, You will see that I don't have a cubby pocket. I have the STI Guages there.
  14. Ok. Just finished installing it. Works great. On my test, I didn't connect pin 8 and didn't knotice anything. I connected pin 8 and didn't knotice any differance. So I left it dissconnected. Here are some pictures.
  15. the cables that I am refering to can be found at just about any computer store. they have become pretty much become obsolete now days though so some stores might not carry them anymore. the shop i got mine from , they had not sold one in over a year. will have pics later.
  16. Ok, so I got my cable done, I think. If I get some time tomorrow, I will take some time to install it. just still trying to figure out how I am going to connect Pin 8.
  17. thanks. I guess that I will have find a way seeing that I have the auto climate control. will likely post tomorrow results
  18. Jeromes, I have confirmed that 2 old style CD-Rom Audio cables with that type of connector fits perfictly and look identical to what you used. Also, re-reading the thread again, I need alittle more clarification on yours: did you leave pin 8 disconnected? and if so, any ill effects?
  19. When you do it that way, you never have to do the, where the F is that install disk. I keep mis-placing them and if I just copy the contents to my file server, I don't have to worry. I even make a text file in the directory that holds the CD key.
  20. Or do what I do with all software. I copy all the CD contents to a drive that is avaiable on the network. From the computer you need the software installed, all you have to do is connect to that computer and run the install. I would say that it works 95% of the time. Most installers give you a choice when there is multiple disks to choose the path and if it asks for the additional disk, just point it to the folder for that disk, instead of the actual disk. I have been doing this ever since windows 3.11 days.
  21. don't want to say how much I paid, but got it the week it came out. So I definatally got ripped off, but my old router died and needed one that day.
  22. Have that ^^ router. It is great. Though I don't have any wireless N adapters yet. But the gigibit wired is great.
