  1. If I already didn't have a scoop I would pick one up. Mine is holding up great! Any pics of the belt cover on a car?
  2. Timing belt, seals, waterpump and thermostat were performed less than a year. Everything was replaced with OE parts. The bottom hose does get hot. I assume a cracked block as I vacuum tested the cooling system yesterday and it’s not holding vacuum.
  3. Need some suggestions guys. I picked up this outback 2 years ago with 134K and it ran great. Not knowing if the TB was ever done I got that done at my local Subaru specialty shop as I didn't have the time. All OE parts including T-stat. This year I started hearing air in the heater core. One summer day at lunch with the car running it started to over heat. So I stopped my lunch early, turned the heat on full blast and went back to work. With the ac it only went slightly over half way. I was able to put a funnel on it and try to bleed it but coolant kept pushing up thru the funnel and spilling over so I figured, great HG! Since then I yanked the motor changed every coolant and vacuum hose and replaced the HG and used a set of ARP head studs. I even flushed out the heater core with a garden hose. Ok so I have only been using water since the OEM coolant is so damn expensive. Put water using the funnel and thought I got all the air out. Drove the car about 25 miles back to my house and get home shut the car off, and there it is again, gurgling. Today I drove the car to work to see how bad the gurgling might get. Then was about a 20 mile trip to work, drives fine and no overheating, but gurgling at work. Ok, so I take it to lunch again, ate in my car with ac and again it starts to overheat. Again windows down, heat on full blast and head back to work. Arrived at work and gurgling is louder. Is this a block issue, small crack maybe?? I'm at a loss now because I don't know what else to check:mad:. Note** I took the heads to the machine shop to skimmed and had 4 valves replaced that were bad. Blocked I cleaned off with the green abrasive pad. Has anyone ran to this issue before? What did you do to fix it? Should I change the short block? You guys have any suggestions that could help? TIA, Rod
  4. Congrats @OOOh Billy, I will be sending mine out soon for some custom work too. I too won't be installing until spring.
  5. Glad to have you back John and happy that you played a critical role in keeping essential workers safe to perform their jobs. Congratulations on getting married....wishing you guys the best marriage!
  6. The sway bars and worn or broken bushings contribute to the squeak. I replaced my rear arms with whiteline and the squeak stop for a couple of days and then started up again. It seems its coming from the rear struts now. I would check all your bushings in the rear to see what is broken and start from there.
  7. @kzr750r1 any idea the name of it or part number maybe?
  8. That's what I was trying to say. Thickness = stiffness. But thanks!
  9. Yes, skimmed thru it really. Was looking for more how thickness effects the handling. I will do more research on it. I saw that but I will be using the legacy coils for a bit more ride height adjustability....thanks.
  10. Hello everyone! Need some input from the suspension gurus. I am in the process of changing my suspension on my 06 OBXT. The rear suspension bushings were all broken except for the rear knuckle bushings. I have replaced the rear arms with Whiteline suspension kit. This improved my handling tremendously and now I am looking to do the sway bars. I see generally most go with the Whiteline sways. There are other sways on the market that are thicker than the Whiteline for the rear but is there any advantages/disadvantages? Will having thicker rear sways cause issues in the future? I would get the sway brackets to add some additional strength, but would that be enough? Would the Whiteline be ok for daily and spirited driving? What thickness Whiteline if so? Should I go with a thicker rear bar than what Whiteline offers? The car still has OEM struts, but I will be swapping to BC coils at some point. Any suggestion on a good setup for daily driving?? Thanks in advance for any recommendations.
  11. Where can I get the silver piece on the bottom of the front bumper? Is that an accessory or does it com with certain MY front bumpers?
  12. @DaveWaters.....could he use this hose with the VF52 or the hose that comes with the Intercooler kit will work fine?
  13. Sweet set up you got there! Did you have the exhaust custom made? Where did you get your Hella brackets? Did you make your own harness for them?
  14. Parts came in yesterday. Thanks! If no one buys this I want it.
  15. Didn't get it, can you send it again. Wasn't in my spam or junk mail either.
  16. Great pick up. Congrats!! Can wait to see pics and follow your updates on the refresh.
