  1. Tire pressure sensors can be problematic at times and be quite annoying.

Did you replace with OEM sensors?

When they were replaced, is the tech 100% the ID's match between the sensor and computer?

    All tires maintaining air pressure?

    And correct pressure?

Not trying to be condescending or anything, just things I have come across through the years. Those are things I would double check before going into replacing modules and such.

  2. With my time spent working in a dealership ive seen quite a few blown turbos on legacy gt's and the outbacks. After the first one or two, I noticed there was a common issue with the banjo filters being clogged. So after that point I started removing the filters on customers cars and never saw one comeback after that. So removing the filter definitely makes a difference!

I bought my first legacy gt back in 2018 (2009 Legacy GT Limited SWP) and within 10k miles the rod bearings gave out. So during the rebuild I made sure all of these preventive measures were taken, especially with the turbo considering the rod bearings gave out. I wasn't sure about all that metal debris in the oil damaging anything else. It's been 25k since the rebuild and everything is going strong.

  3. Yeah I've fixed quite a few customer cars complaining of similar electrical issues. But those cars had a good amount of corrosion on their terminals. I was in a subaru dealer for 10 years from 2006-2016 and have always known subaru's issues with battery corrosion, but mine wasn't anywhere close to what I observed on customers cars lol. But I do appreciate the insight! Thank You!!!
  4. Driving to work this morning, I noticed my headlights started flickering every so often. I have HID bulbs installed, so I thought maybe that was the culprit. Then not only were the headlights going out but the entire dash went blank for a split second, and noticed the engine cut out for the same amount of time. The vehicle never fully stopped running. The dash and engine only happened 2 times, but the headlights flickered a good amount.

I checked the battery terminals, both tight. Positive side has a very small amount of corrosion, ill clean that off when I get home.

I ran some new grounds a few months ago, those are still intact. (From the frame to the underside of the engine.)

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I don't have a problem trying to figure out the problem, just seeing if its been a common occurrence for others and save some time and headache.

    Thanks in advance!
