  1. I did it in my spec.B. The whole lockout swap took me 15 min. There’s a video on youtube I just don’t have the link handy. It’s the PSP-INR-250BK. Use a hex key or 5/32 long punch to tap pin out when in 3rd gear, leave punch in or hex key then put in reverse and pull out punch/key and swap. Mind you, I am on oem shifter but process shouldn’t be any different. I think... Update I watched a few but I think this is the one I referred to.
  2. 07 spec.B owners. I’m looking for pics of your OEM spec.B floor mats to see the difference between 08-09’s. Thx. Might get a hold of some both years.
  3. I might be able to get a hold of OEM spec.B mats but apparently 07’s are different than 08’s. Does anyone have a pic for 07’s. I just got a set of new 08 spec.B ones but wanted to see the difference. Thx. Will also post in spec.B forum.
  4. Yeah lol now the running order will change. P1’s will go to summer. Keeping my winter boots on 17’s. New hakka 9’s on V7. I will shelf and possibly clean up OEM spec.B mags as to keepem for posterity lol
  5. Cool thanks but gone by the time I contacted seller. Might get OZ Prodrive P1 18” good price instead dark silver. Thoughts??
  6. This question probably appeared a thousand times but most posts are from ten years ago, so I’ll refresh, lol. BBS STI Gold forged 17”, 5x100. What do they go for in good condition and are they really rare or not so much? Is it worth it for winter mags or will it be sacrilege! Apparently Subaru ony did one year run which was on 04 STI? Is this correct? What did 03’s have? Thanks for opinions and thoughts, might get a deal on’em so thanks in advance.
  7. Geez, not an inch in Montreal, Quebec. What the hell is goin on!!! Still got the -14C/6F though
  8. It depends. On highway I leave it on but no cruise. Never know when the tail will go past you but otherwise city streets always off also. Lot of fun snow driving up in MTL Quebec. However, no snow yet here wierd. We had about a few inches two weeks ago, all melted now!
  9. Just put my winter boots on Sunday and was waiting for this to come along!! Hakka 9's on STI V7. What is your setup...unless you're down south, lol. Great Montreal, Canada winters!! Swedish flick here I come!!
  10. Well, it's here!! Drift time!! What's your winter setup? I have HAkka 9's on STI V7.
  11. As said previously, save yourself the trouble of re-tune after your tune if you have massive boost creep etc. The 3-port ebcs smoothes out pull and release. It’s not that expensive once you’re in it.
  12. ^better explained! However, 08-09’s don’t have catted upipe.
  13. Out with the old which stunk up the cabin and in with the new. Thx to Kosmic Racing ste-madeleine, qc. XFORCE uppipe.
  14. Lol. Touché. I was never able to get a real GTX though. They were highly overpriced here and very few. AWD wasn’t “trendy” yet i geuss. But the ‘01 BULLITT was an amazing car! Completely different from the gt. Different production line, not necesarily all bolt ons like the 08-09’s. Would like to get another one though. However I have more fun year round with the subie and our three feet of snow. Lol
  15. what Max Capacity posted, he helped me a lot with directing towards what is needed and recommended, I also changed the AVCS oil lines for IAG ss braided ones that I forgot to mention and yes new OEM oil return tube, grimspeed DP gasket, (you can stick with OEM), OEM UP gasket, whatever heatshield or blanket cause VF46 heatshield will sit on wastegate arm.
  16. I’m in. Try to beat this. You might have to wiki it. Hyundai Stellar 1985 stick, lol. Two mazda 323’s 88-89, great little car modded one to look like the gtx no power upgrades though, 2001 Mustang Bullitt #1389, stolen, 92 mercury tracer, 98 mazda protegé, 02 Legacy, 01 Suzuki gran vitara, 02 toyota echo stick, 2015 edge sport, 08 spec.B. Ok I admit while writing this you can see your friggin life timeline. Lmaof. School...girlfriend....wife...kids...ex-wife....career...(more to come) lol! Wow my life just flashed before my eyes lol. 42y/o
  17. @Neukam. Iam trying to include my other thread but am not forum savvy, sorry. I posted what I did before the swap. I will just rewrite it here: I did in fact port the wastegate and before doing the swap I mocked up the vf52 to th dp and put about 10 psi with compressor to actuator to make sure it wouldn’t hit divorce plate and it never did. I even put grease to see markings or friction, nothing made contact. From my understanding older batches of invidia dp’s would hit wastegate flap. Not mine, probably a revised batch (newer). Yes a three port ebcs will eliminate boost creep but you absolutely need a tune otherwise bye bye engine. I wouldn’t know the difference, I did it all in the same instance so I never experienced the boost creep issue. The main reason for porting wastegate, I believe, is for less restriction not necessarily boost creep ( correct me if I’m wrong, I’m not a specialist) and adding a 3 port ebcs will also prevent wastegate from “clicking” when closing again on boost release. Some people have had that issue with vf52 and stock ebcs.
  18. Pretty straight forward. Only small issues I encountered were lower coolant line needs to be a tad bit longer and lgt stock heat shield doesn’t fit on vf52 so I put a blue thermal zero blanket instead. Bolt but don’t tighten to much the intercooler to turbo before lining up bpv side and tighten everything in star pattern if I can use the term. Otherwise throttle body side you’ll have a hard time fitting it and could break something. Engine cover fit perfectly afterwards. Vf52 was worth swapping. Amazing power after a tune, but with proper accompanying mods!
  19. Thanks guys. Getting it tomorrow. Can’t wait to put it on. Time is counted. Already close to 40’s here. Winter tires on at the end of the month!!
  20. Uppipe just cracked, exhaust goes in cabin...nasty. My buddy at Kosmic Racing proposed a less costly brand since MY mod budget exhausted, (lol no pun intended). The brand is “XFORCE” but I never heard of the brand. Apparently made down undah. Is it something you guys heard of, tried etc...He started carrying it this summer and had good reviews for smaller budgets instead of highend ones and the EL headers also got good reviews. BUT I always like you’s feedback!! So any input would be appreciated! Thanks
  21. Actually, no. I used oem bracket but had to bend tab which oem solenoid goes as to put tactrix shere oem goes. Otherwise engine cover won’t fit. Took me five minutes tbh. But the tactrix has oem connector. Some other less expensive ebcs you have to splice in owm harness. I’ll post a pic tonight. UPDATE; sorry for late pics. The engine cover screen/vent at bottom left bulges a tad so I'll need to rework bracket but all four engine cover pushpins clip in.
  22. At first I was going to keep factory SBC but for the price and labour already involved in prepping for tune (vacuum leak, fluids etc) my buddy who owns the shop made me a deal on the tactrix 3-port which is cheaper than Cobb, (you pay for the name in some cases). Since a tune is imperative for upgrading EBCS, might as well do it all before tune to avoid more expenses. So, for your question it was kind of a “just because” but at the same time makes smoother boost, cause with vf52 with ported wastegate, new vacuum lines, Perrin TI, catless divorced DP, you’ll notice a hell of a power upgrade, if accompanying mods are done of course. I went from factory 14.5psi to around 19-20 ish down tuned cause I still have factory TMIC. I’m glad I did it. Next is bigger TMIC and EL headers, and another tune.
  23. Cool, thanks!! First four paragraphs I’ll take with a grain of salt. Just sayin’ I felt a difference is all! From no bar to rigid, whatever the aggresiveness of turning/cornering for ME. AND I got a heck of a deal on it for a JDM. No I can’t open my brake fluid reservoir anymore, lol. End of story! So...I don’t know if you’re dissing me since you quoted me or used it as a general example, or you just lost track and ranted. Either way, respect and thank you for the steering mod parts list.
