  1. ^ it makes the ride more compliant but the bushings get pounded into oblivion... as they take both lateral (side to side) and up and down loading... the older style only had to deal with twisting motions and not the side to side movements.

LCA replacements are common on cars that use this type of setup... aka pillow bushings

I was looking to only do something in the rear so the car does not squat when you put heavy things in the trunk.

So, how would you do this on the 2020 Legacy Limited.

  2. March isn't over yet.

But then SIA is shut down next week, too. And there's a possibility of a second week.

Only you can decide how long is too long.

Sorry for the delay. Were it me I'd just keep driving my 2013 until the new one arrived.

I would agree. What is the hurry right now with everything shut down on slow every where. It will be worth the wait.

  3. I ordered a Legacy Limited fully loaded with everything from Heuberger Motors and the MSRP was 35,785 and I paid 32,562.

I purchased the car. I financed 24,000 and the payments are 560 for 48 months.

  4. Rockier, thanks for your help. I have the display on and I can use the dimmer wheel to brighten and darken the console and dashboard so I’m pretty sure it’s set correctly. What doesn’t get lit up are the buttons on the steering wheel ... i.e., phone pick-up, cruise control buttons, etc., nor does the defrost buttons and heat control buttons on the side of the console light up. I’m in discussions with the dealer. I’ll post updates.

I would say you need service to look at it.

There may be a fuse or a connection problem.

  5. Is it possible mileage will improve a bit once it switches back to summer gas later this year? I see that rockier is in Las Vegas, though. Do you guys even get winter gas there?

Yes, We do and we are on winter fuel now.

We will be switching to summer gas here soon.

After Jan we start are upward climb to heat. We are in the 50's in day time and 30's at night right now.

One of the problems here in Las Vegas is we do not have any long stretches of road that is flat or what you would call the prefect test for gas mileage.

Even all of the highways are up and down.

  6. We had our 665 mile road trip this weekend. About 75% highway, 25% city driving. Faced a fair amount of wind on the way home today, so less ideal than my earlier short trip. And higher speeds overall (also less efficient).

Car reported 28.7 average for the trip. According to gas pump calculations (I've checked 3 times now), the car report is on the generous side (higher MPG reported) between 0.75 and 1.5 MPG.

This is more of what I would have expected from the XT model. I am looking at around 31 MPG on mine with most of the driving on the highway and hope as it brakes in, it will get better, but it is still not close to 35 MPG as advertised. Right now I am over 3000 miles on the car and with about 50/50 driving I get around 26 MPG.

Thanks for the information and hope yours improves in the future.

  7. Damn barista didn't close the lid all the way, and I dropped it while I tried to lift it from the cup holder. I just dabbed it with paper towel and wet starbucks napkins. What can I use to treat this? It's been a day now...371e93eab3a6046fb769430af217c932.jpg

Lexol Leather Conditioner and Leather Cleaner Kit, Use on Car

I got it from here https://www.ebay.com/itm/Lexol-Leather-Conditioner-and-Leather-Cleaner-Kit-Use-on-Car-Leather-Furniture/133176882785?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&var=432520546408&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649

  8. Huh. I find it interesting that you would be getting 34 mpg with the xt model.

My 2.5 2020 is averaging 27 mpg after 500 miles (8.6L/100km after 900 kilometers). Though I am usually a driver with a moderately heavy foot, I have been driving very conservatively for break in, with 60/40 (highway/city).

Since my previous 2015 legacy was averaging 29 mpg (With spirited driving), I'm guessing I can expect somewhat better fuel economy with the 2020

I am surprise at those number to I do not have the XT model and have about 2800 miles on my. I did a 61 mile highway only and the best it got was 31.2 at the pump. I fueled it up did the drive and refilled it up and that was my best. Did this 2 times with the same results or real close. The highways here in Nevada are up and down and not flat which effects the mileage.

  9. Happy to say -- the 2020 Touring XT I ordered on Oct 25, with first estimates of "January", was updated a few weeks ago to say "Dec 20". Cool. But as it turns out, it was even earlier than that and I took delivery yesterday (Dec 16). Merry Christmas!

Obviously not much to report after only 95 miles, other than I love it and it is a real step up from my 2015 Legacy Limited in so many ways. And frankly, the auto stop/start doesn't really bother me. At this point, I'm not concerning myself with it. Wish it didn't have that feature, but not a big deal.

(Nav system is much better than my 2015. Although I think this was true even the last couple years, not new this year. The voice commands work so much better. And you can now mute the audible nav directions (in my 2015, you could reduce the volume, but not mute all the way). Cool.

It snowed the night before I went to pick it up, so of course it was dirty before even getting it home. Oh well :)

I got the spoiler on mine. I think it gives it a better look.

    Congrats on your too.
