  1. Hmm... I dont think that my car has a valet mode, because it doesnt have alarm system. The chirp sound is pleasant, not the horn type. Both cars are imported from japan. I also saw this on the -99 drivers door, which the -98 doesnt have.
  2. I also think that it is installed afterwards (window function). Just would be nice to know how its wired. Tried all the valet mode instructions which i have found, but no luck. Need to trace further..
  3. Question about central-locking. Ive had an 1999 Wagon GT-B and when doors were opened with keyfob, it would chirp and flash the hazard/turning lights. Also holding the buttons in the keyfob would open or close the drivers window. Its chassis got in very bad shape, so i decided to buy a new chassis around the engine (so-to-say) and found an another Wagon GTB but it was a year older, 1998. Still a 3rd gen though. And now to the problem. When locking doors with keyfob, only chirp will appear. No lights and also the window opening/closing isnt working either. Hazard light button works, turn signals work. I have tried another remote control module, no luck. Also tried with the -99 old door wires (which had power w ecu assy in those, which -98 didnt have) but no luck. Is that programmable somehow, or didnt the first 3gens have hazards flashing when closing doors with remote? Its really not a big problem, but would make it easier to detect in noisier enviroments. SOLVED - There were a aftermarket relay installed in my old legacy, which made hazards flash when opening / closing doors and also there was a wire for drivers door wiring, so i think that its also connected for the key-fob window controlling.
  4. And if someone knows location for the keyless entry module or possible fuses/relays and would share that info, i would appreciate that very much.
  5. Greetings from Finland. And firstly, sorry for my possibly bad english in some points. I have kinda strange problem with my Legacy's Keyless Entry. My key fob has a connection to the car... but doesnt open or close doors. Central locking works fine when opened manually with key or using the "code" with the door handle. So now to the problem-> I noticed the problem when i had closed my doors with the key fob and after 3 hours from that, the key fob didnt do anything anymore. Thought about battery, but no, it wasnt that. Well, then i tried to disconnect the car's battery for a little moment and... The keyless entry works. But it lasts for just one press of either button from the key fob, close or open. Then it wouldnt work anymore. I tried that again and same thing happened. It works just once and then goes full silent. Well, then i tried to re-program the key, but nothing happened. It looks like when i try to program the key (with the white-wires connected), the key fob doesnt do anything. After that i just sat to the drivers seat, closed the doors from inside and started press the "open"-button from the key fob, continiously. Just hoping it would do something. And it actually did, but i dont know what. After pressing the button for 23-times (Doors locked, didnt work with doors open), Legacy gave me a beep and flashed all blinkers/turn signals. It did this now with every press from either button from the keyfob -> Gave a beep and flashed all the blinkers. I didnt understand what it was doing, didnt find anything from internet, so i decided to open the doors. Immediately it started continuous beep-sound, with all the blinkers powered on also. That lasted for 10-seconds. Does anyone have any clue what is happening? Some component possibly gone bad or something else? I also took a video from this, which maybe explains this problem little more.
