huzzit @madrig! I'll take one when they are ready, messaged you earlier this week about them

Over the weekend we spent only a couple hours on the car. Installed a lightly used power steering rack and new tie rod ends from the whiteline roll centering kit. This included some Cusco power steering braces and a front power brace. Last we through in the whiteline front sway bar and called it a day.
n ice build you have going. you mind sharing the part number for the cusco steering braces. I've only come across RHD pieces and looks like they won't work

Been meaning to do this for a while, but my other car was occupying this sensor. Once I sold it I finally could use it on the Legacy.
First, the easiest part if your downpipe has a bunch already...

UEGO has two main wires, one that comes from the O2 sensor and second one is the power delivery + serial out put wire (which sadly you have to wire in yourself). I did this a long time ago so will dig up the steps on how to add serial cable later.

I like to use quick disconnects, especially when I tend to move sensors around different cars often. I also like using the fuse splitters, got sick and tired of splicing and re-splicing in car wires.

Next thing I like to do is use different ends for power and ground wires, in this case I ended up using different plugs. This will help you avoid plugging in a positive wire into a negative wire (note sensor end is show that's why you see male and female connections).

For ground wire I like to use ECU ground, it keeps readings consistent with what the ECU would see.

For power I tapped into the least useful fuse I could find, 10A LAMP IG

UEGO comes with a bunch of wires, have to tuck it under the radio
http://i160.photobucket.com/albums/t188/covertrussian/Cars/05%20LGT/Interior/Gauges/Wideband/CIMG1282.jpg~original
Wired in the gauge and tested it before putting it all together

Heat shield fits well with the wideband in place

Now here is why you want a wideband over the stock sensor. Stock sensor doesn't read below 11 AFR, wideband is showing it gets as rich as 10.5:1 afr!

what was the color wire that you tapped in for .5v on the 02 for signal. looking at the FSM I'm seeing white/green.

If you can wait until I'm done putting a motor in my wagon, I'll make you one for the cost of shipping and a 6 pack
Im in the same boat, waiting for my motor to come back from the machine shop and my builder (probably 2.5 weeks out). Pm me with your PayPal info \m/
On another note have any of you here tried making a cad of the center A/C trim to replace the awful oem piece that everyone seems to break while taking off?

There's one on Thingiverse
I realize that. I don’t have a printer
-
It's actually cracked, sorry! I don't think it was there when I got it, it must have developed from sitting in the sun.

Ah I see. Thanks for checking

Cubby has a wear mark on the door, maybe the width of a penny? Thin, it's just worn away at the matte finish on the door. Don't remember any cracks but I'll check when I get home and I'll add a picture.

Any one printing triple gauge cubby pods?
-
-
aloha! any chance your cubby is in good condition with no cracks to the vents or mounting points? Id be interested if so, shipped to 96782

Aloha Climber. Quick question when routing the thermostat one would eliminate all connections at the hard lines correct? Or at least that’s what I understand looking at your “best” diagram.
-
no idea if any mod is really necessary but ill be doing my vb on a trans with 85k (original trans)

even a degree or so makes a big difference. And yea they're very thin (2.5 mm/ .1") so the effect they have is very minor.
If you decide you want a kit let me know!
long shot... but do you happen to still have a kit available?
-
These will go into production in the Spring
I have already contracted out a vendor to make them and the price should be between $150 and $200 unpainted.
Hate to revive and old thread but did these ever get produced?
-
I can’t recall of the top of my head but there is a guy on here I made a harness for his s402 build. I know he has a build thread here
-
The latest delivery.
JDM Momo branded facelift steering with with paddle shifters, audio control, and cruise control.
Where did you source this from?
-
Do you have these still available? I was curious if it retains the JDM parking light being separate from the turn signal unlike our USDM where its combined.
Yes I have one ready to ship. It keeps the running light and blinker separate.
-
For you guys not wanting to chop up your stock wire harness. I have a couple harness I made to swap preface JDM to USDM (does work with post face but you’ll need to use stock JDM high beam plug)

Yeah those blinker plugs are definitely a pain to find. I actually have 2 sets of JDM headlights and I'm short just 1 of the plugs for the turn signals. Soldered some wire to one for the time being but I think the solder failed as I was putting the light in. Once the second set of lights shows up I'll be rebuilding the harnesses but for now I just needed something temporary to get it to storage and then to the body shop.
Yah lots of ways to getherdone but I kinda anal so I wanted a simple PnP that wasn’t a spaghetti deal.

I buy connectors from eastern beaver and ballenger motorsports. There is one other but I can't remember it off the top off my head; it has something to do with motorcycle sports.
I check those 2 you mentioned but they didn’t have what I needed. Hardest plug to source was the JDM and USDM blinker plugs

Where do you source your connectors for building the adapter harnesses?
I order through a guy I know here on island... I never asked where he was getting them from but I’d assume China. All he needed was part numbers

A retrofit will solve your RHD vs LHD cutoff situation but if I’m not mistaken the JDM headlights have separate blinker and “city” light (little 194 running light I believe) as well, so the wiring circuit for your dual function bulb needs to also be hardwired to the city light for the parking/marker lights and the blinker wire to the blinker light so there is rewiring that also has to be done with the JDM headlights I believe. Anyone please correct me if I’m wrong here as I’ve only read up on the JDM headlights and have never personally dealt with them
You are correct. I’ve made a few harness for a couple members here and FB members on the legacy pages.
