  1. ...well I'll be keeping my LGT, but I'm looking forward to getting an Ascent. I'd still still like something else for myself, but it seems that will be delayed since we'll need the space.
  2. ...so here are my final dyno numbers, 278whp and 350wtq. My tuner didn't make mention of any boost creep issues, so hopefully it stays that way. I'm hoping this will be a hoot to drive. Installed: AEM Dryflow air filter Samco inlet hoses AVO charge pipe GFB Mach II diverter valve Grimmspeed 3-port ECBS Grimmspeed TMIC Ported wastegate Nameless 3" downpipe Invidia 3" cat-back exhaust
  3. ...well with #4 on the way it looks like an Ascent is definitely in the cards. Guess I should reach out to our friendly local Subaru Ambassador.
  4. ...it feels like we have a target on our Subarus. My LGT was hit back in Dec and on the way into the work our Tribeca was rear ended, yay. Well hopefully we get an interesting rental.
  5. ...so tune didn't happen, once on the dyno my car boosted to 25psi. IAG thinks that the issue is that the wastegate isn't opening b/c of some sort of interference. They're going to pull everything back off and take a look. Until then it's a base map until the next dyno session.
  6. ...my car goes on the rollers today, it'll be interesting to see what it puts down on the dyno.
  7. ...I'm dropping my LGT off for a pro-tune at IAG tomorrow, so I should have numbers around Weds or the weekend depending on when I can get back up there to pick up my ride.
  8. ...so I finally got my wastegate ported. I went w/a local shop Tim's Turbos, here are some pics of the wastegate. Before After ...the inside of the wastegate where the sharp edge was is now nice and smooth, the port itself has also been conservatively enlarged (about an inch).
  9. ...with the SS going away I'm all over the place, the Kia Stinger looks promising but the A6 3.0T Competition package and even the Durango SRT (hey I've got a family to move around ) seem interesting.
  10. ...my schedule got pushed back a bit, but finally working on getting my waste gate ported. Stopped by a suggested shop this am to have a look at what's what for getting the turbo off so I figured I'd snap a quick pic...didn't realize it was bright out though.
  11. ...I saw a silver 5th gen with an exhaust and wheels on Loudoun County Pkwy this evening, I think it was a GT and it sounded pretty nice. There alsi a white 4th gen wagon running around here as well, It's on wheels, gild Brembos, and has an exhaust.
  12. ...so I received this pic from the powder coater today.
  13. ...a quick pic of the winter shoes, realized I never really posted one.
  14. ...I also sent these out for a rebuild and powder coating about a week ago. I'll be making a little road trip to pick them up this week. ...more on the new color a little later, but with the rest of the car being more subdued my wife thought a little bit of color wouldn't be a bad idea and I'm not silly enough to ignore advice like that. Also, these pads came w/the calipers, I haven't been able to figure what they are though, only what they aren't. If anyone has any idea I'd appreciate it, I'm thinking either these are stock Subaru pads or some sort of Hawk pad. I'm thinking about reusing them since there is a lot of material left, not too sure though since I don't know what these are.
  15. ...pics of what's arrived relatively recently and what's been here for a bit
  16. ...I've been away from this for a little bit, but the over the last 2-3 weeks the mod ball has started rolling again. Specifically it's time to start making some real power. So scheduled to be installed w/a protune in late September are: AEM Dryflow Air Filter GFB Mach II Diverter Valve AVO Charge Pipe Grimmspeed TMIC Grimmspeed 3-Port ECBS w/5th Gen LGT Adapter Invidia Q300 Cat-back Defi White Racer Boost Gauge and Cravenspeed Belmont mount ...in addition to things I already had like the Samco inlet hoses and everyone's favorite divorced downpipe. Speaking of which, I'll also be getting my stock VF54 wastegate ported w/a larger flapper added as well.
  17. ...if everything goes well I'll be getting this installed w/an Invidia cat-back and some other power mods in late Sept.
  18. ...first shot from the new place. We haven't figured out the garage sleeping arrangements yet so my LGT is in the driveway for the time being.
  19. ...cool, this sounds like a plan and the Invidia is cheaper as well. ...noted, at least it won't be taking up space in my garage now, I was going to ditch it if I was able to get the AVO.
