Are you climbing that ladder? They told you all about that ladder. Climb that ladder and find that salvation. Sure is a hard climb I bet. Arms getting tired? Sure is a long ladder. Faith, is that the word they used? Hope? I've been watching you from a long ways off. You're not climbing on any ladder. 7. yeah, bus, not dumb, sounds like you just layed too heavy a coat or perhaps laid an oily fingerprint before spraying. this project in particular, with that highly polished surface, i'd use a very light coat to begin, at least. i basically 'dusted' it on to start. no pre-scuff here, with satisfactory results. turbo, i dunno about painter's tape: best i can say is if that's what you want to use, test it in an inconspicuous spot first, i chose the spot under the clear plastic corner insert to test since i knew i was going to put a piece of double-sided tape there before resealing to help hold it up/keep it from rattling around. good thing i did test it, because the tiny piece of standard auto masking tape tore the chrome right off with it. i was so paranoid about the masking, i considered using clay to do it, lol. that day, though, i was feeling pretty cocky because i was finally acting instead of planning , so electric tape it was, for it's seemingly less sticky property -- just be very careful with whatever mask your test indicates will work well, and you ultimately decide to use; don't apply it/remove it with too much pressure/zeal, and you should be fine. your paint choice sounds pretty good. i also used DC products by default, b/c i happened upon a fine match for the factory 'grey-out' that is already (mostly) done in the 05s. best of luck.
  8. looks sharp with the 06 style full-chrome lights/black OB, nice job. if you go for another removal for the blackout, it'll go a lot faster, but you'll have a lot of masking to do -- you probably know this, but: choose mask wisely or the chrome will peel away with it when you're removing it (i used electrical tape [very, very carefully] in favor of masking tape, as the glue felt less tacky and the masking tape tested poorly in an inconspicuous area -- it worked very well). good luck, and nice lineup^
  9. older gent in a clean grp wagon filling up next to me at the shell on finnegan's/rt. 1 -- didn't see u till i was pulling out, gave meep meep, but you were busy digging up jacksons for the v-power (and probably wondering what the hell i was beeping at, lol).
  10. i saw that guy on rt. 1 one day -- don't think it's a B (rims); aforementioned funky impreza badges refresh my memory. ...figures, spotted twice and probably not even a member, lol.
  11. saved yourself a year or two of time not having to mask out that little diamond-cut portion around the bulb, too . i like that minimal approach on the red, tho; kinda like an 'eyeliner' effect. very nice, especially the side view.
  12. ^dremeling the ambers isn't that far out. noticing other cars with tinted headlight lenses (not a fan) and blackouts (fan), i noticed that the ambers look more pallatable. so i figured if i could slap a good 35% tint on my ambers and cut them -- i cut them like an thin "L" about a 1/4 inch thick to run along the outer edge of the headlight. figured double-sided tape/the clips on the bottom edge would be more than enough to hold them. it didn't look terrible, but i liked 'em clear/blacked out better, so that's the way i sealed 'em. for the blackout, i used one coat of universal black, and topped it off with a dusting/half coat of cast iron coat (DE1651), then gently wiped the loose spray off. result is a really good (i think) approximation of the factory charcoal color already in there; if i didn't know, i wouldn't be able to tell where one ends/other begins. at least it matches my filthy car right now .
  13. silver gt @ sundown-ish on hartland commons, nb, nj. i was obp gt, cruised right by.
  14. lmao, i get scolded by the lady all the time for 10-spot-buffer-zone-parking .
  15. RBP gt @ 4-ish on 18S right before tpke. 9. i gave wimpy double horn toot , lol.
  16. yeh, it got stuck in the 'auto' position. happened to me last week; was out of the car for like 10 minutes, returned to find window uncooperative on startup (must have been stuck), switch felt a little inclined to stick in 'auto' when flicked back and forth. after 30 seconds or so leaving it alone (not stuck position), power returned. no probs since, but now more careful to make sure it's not stuck when/after i use it.
  17. got my first (& hopefully only) little blackout today -- 90 degrees (I was not pleased . +1 for eject button fix, coughed up pink floyd, both lit right up. will this be a tsb (being that so many have the prob, hope it doesn't persist/get worse), cuz extended warranty doesn't cover radio, i think?
