  1. Got a Cobb tuner and installed the OTS Stage 1 93 v400 map. Holly shit this is what I've been missing? I've had a 06 LGT and a 08 GTI and I've never had them tuned. I never realized the difference would be that staggering. Full throttle and boost on demand in any gear any time. Needless to say I have a permanent grin on my face for the foreseeable future
  2. That makes sense... I'm sad because I want one and I want them to be good because mine is cracked
  3. Dang that sucks, do you know of a bpv that fits better?
  4. I love the setup, the tire profile looks perfect. What tires are you using?
  5. Awesome, thanks! Do yo know if slim rad fans fix that issue? I'd imagine they would
  6. Has anyone tried the AVO Intercooler hose? S1B09M940 I think Mine is cracked and it'd be nice to have a silicon one that fits my Kompact in the oem bpv position. I've already got a mishimoto throttle body hose that I'm quite pleased with. Replaced all the clamps with Breeze 9448H. I'm really happy with both items quality.
  7. My last oil change was pushed to 7k but I felt a bit nervous about that and changed it again at 3k just to be safe. I had used Castrol Edge 5w-30 FS and castrol edge high milage FS (the car ate some oil before I changed the PCV valve) with a wix xp filter, the car ran ok but still felt a bit noisy. The fumoto valve made things nice and easy. I just put Penzoil Ultra Plat 5w-30 and the car is noticeably quieter now. Used a K&N Performance Gold this time. After further research I think I'll go back to the Wix, because the bypass valve inside holds closest to the original spec and the medium seems superior. But I think I'll keep this oil, car feels much happier. Next, throttle body cleaning and a new AGM battery, and checking for vacuum leaks. It stumbles a bit when returning to idle from any RPM. I've been warned about Subaru branded batteries and this one is only 2 year old but is corroding badly and leaking from the top, it's only a matter of time till she explodes. Thinking a Bosch S6 S6521B Group 34 AGM because they come with a 4 year warranty, have 775 CCA, and is $200 of Rock Auto. It even comes with roadside assistance as part of the warranty. Seems like a good enough deal to off balance not having the convenience of a Autozone or Advance in an emergency. Honestly I think I'll get another just to keep and store, charging it and running maintenance cycles when necessary. NE winters can suck. I wanted an Odyssey battery but couldn't justify the extra and was curios how long this Bosch would last.
  8. Mmmm I'm subbed for opinions. I'd like to get some coilovers soon and tackle a bunch of the suspension too. After 100k miles in the NE things look a little worn down there. Just rebuilt some Kartboy front endlinks (they sell rebuild kits which is awesome). About to get the Rear Kartboy endlinks too but I haven't read about any fitment/performance issues. From what I've seen around here you might consider upgrading from the 19mm RSB to the whiteline 22 or 24mm, the 19 just isn't stiff enough (apparently)
  9. It's just a bandaid till I can get my hands on a high flow cat downpipe. Do whatever works I guess *shrug*
  10. Try the grimspeed stock downpipe to 3" catback adapter https://www.grimmspeed.com/stock-dp-aftermarket-3-in-catback-adapter-subaru/ worked for my invidia q300
  11. I was wondering if anyone had the Cobb Stg 2 OTS map, Cobb took it off their website saying they're not supporting stage 2 anymore officially with their new rule changes
  12. Did all 4 coil packs, changed spark plugs to NGK 93420 LFR6BHX Ruthenium HX. Every one of the old coil packs was rusted and cracked bad giving me bad misfires. installed Turbosmart 34mm Kompact full recirc. PCV replacement (mine was definitely bad/sticking) Also did a trans service for the front and rear diff with some Motul 300. Installed Fumoto drain valve during an oil change with Wix XP 57712XP filters Clutch delay valve delete, full flush of clutch lines and brakes with Bosch DOT 5.1 (I though about the Motul and others but this has the best longevity and I'm not racing lol) Installed Jojo's ex catback on my car(rip buddy), Invidia Q300. I'm quite happy with sound but the low end rumble is so low it hurts. I can't decide whether I want to put a different resonator on it. Recently Done: Clutch Exedy Stage 1 (done at FI Performance south Jersey) @107k Timing Belt, water pump, thermostat @ 100k I have an STi rear sway bar and bushing laying around and some Kartboy billet front endlinks I rebuilt that I'm waiting to get to, but the way I see it the car is finally getting the attention it deserves, and just hit 111k :') I can hear the power steering whining so that's a mystery I'll put off till tomorrow lol
  13. I thought about that but the spare tire well in the trunk comes real close to those two mounts for the rear diff. Was there enough wiggle room to back the whole stud out? It looks like the stud is long enough it'd be running into that before I could pull it out. To torque it back in I'll just steal a nut from the other stud and put it back after; we'll see when I get another wack at it.
  14. Hello everyone! I recently picked up a '11 GT, after owning a '05 GT that bit the dust a couple years ago. Anywho, picked up those rear diff inserts from Prothane (16-1610-BL), I'm pretty pleased with the quality for the price. Went to install them and got all except 1 of the 2 that attach to the diff itself. When I started taking the bolt off it started backing up the stud threaded into the diff. Anyone have a solution? It kinda sucks to have all but 1 insert completed
  15. Oh sweet! I haven't found any Subaru friends here yet. The '11 LGT is a bit different than the 05, so I'll definitely have questions lol Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  16. Very sad day, but that was a couple years ago Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  17. Lol not quite. I had just moved up from the Appalachia of NC and two weeks later some guy wrecked my parked LGT with a U-Hual on S Broad trying to park in front of it. I was torn, if just replaced the clutch and turbo, catless up pipe, and had the engine flushed. She was sitting on H&R springs and had a borla catback as well [emoji22] RIP Scoobs Long story short, I was able to put it back into the parking spot, but the insurance from U-Hual wanted me to leave it till they could take pictures. It literally took them a month, in the process the PPA impounded the car, and auctioned it off. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  18. Recently purchased an '11 LGT after perviously owning a '05 LGT that I put a lot of love into, but alas Philadelphia took her away. Anywho, she's got 99k on her and the timing belt is next, and I just ordered the prothame diff insert kit and looking forward to a little quarantine fun. Any other Philadelphia area LGT's around?
