Had a busy weekend! Replaced Driver's side valve cover gasket and spark plug seals, noticed one was leaking slightly a couple weeks back when I did plugs. Man, did I underestimate this job! I figured it would be as easy as it looks, a few bolts...but didn't realize how much stuff you have to remove/disconnect just to get the valve cover out. I was going to do both sides, but passenger side (which is supposedly easier) will have to wait a couple weekends or so. Replaced the oil pan and bolts due to them being extremely rusty, replaced the drive belt, and of course new oil and filter!

Just a quick question that I didn't feel was worthy enough of it's own thread. Has anyone changed/removed their oil pan on 2.5i? Mine is superrrr rusty and starting to pit a little bit, so I was planning on replacing it before it got a pin hole in it (which isn't uncommon with Subaru's). Is it as easy as it looks? Just undo the bolts all the way around and remove?

replaced cabin air filter. Was supposedly replaced by the dealer before I bought it in 5/2017, but I find it hard to believe that much crap got in there in a year...holy cow. It was gross.

Hey, just wanted to update the thread so people in the future who have this problem can see what solved my problem. Got a tip from someone in one of my other subie groups to try recharging the system. Oddly enough, it worked. Ice cold and equal flow on all vents now. Thank you to those who gave insight on this!

Hi, just an update: Spent the morning disassembling the dash to poke around and see what I can see. Blend door actuator is functioning, it moves when I change the dial from hot to cold. Blower motor is working great, everything else under there looks good. Doing further research online, I see some cars have an “air mix actuator”, is this something our cars have/something that would explain my situation? Also, for what it’s worth, the shiny silver tube right by it is really hot.

Hi all, Yesterday as I was driving home I realized that my AC blows ice cold in every vent except my driver's side vents, and it has been doing this for about a week now, I just thought it needed recharged until I felt the passenger vents. After doing some research, I've seen stuff saying it could be one of the little doors inside the vents that is stuck closed or something, I've seen stuff saying its an actual problem with the AC system (specifically a bad o-ring), I've seen all kinds of stuff. Driver's side is blowing just as strong as passenger side. Seems almost like a dual zone climate with ac on passenger side only, but that isnt the case. 2011 Legacy 2.5i Premium, single zone climate control. Any and all input is appreciated!!

New spark plugs and reusable dry air filter to celebrate our one year anniversary! Haha. Also discovered the spark plug tube seal on cylinder 2 leaks a little bit, so cleaned it out and will take care of that soon.

Changed out the rear diff fluid and gearbox oil, tomorrow is carpet scrubbing/vacuuming and WeatherTech install, plus an outside wash!

Going to bump this up. Used this in my '11 Legacy 6mt in gear box and rear diff. Already a considerable amount of improvement. Now, car has just a hair under 116k, last recorded time the gearbox oil was done was at 54k, rear diff I don't think has ever been done. So I really can't say how great it is, other than my shifts are now literally buttery smooth. I will update if I have any problems within the next 30k miles!

Sold it when I bought my Subie with only 68,300 miles on it. Just using the Legacy to get me through school + a couple years, then I plan to buy a WRX or STI.
