  1. Thanks for the tip, I'll try this method when I replace them again. I was also running brighter bulbs than stock too, I used the Sylvania Silverstar ultra bulbs, which just seem to be whiter than the original bulbs. Are there any bulbs that you'd recommend?
  2. I installed them my self through the fender well and that hole intended for the smallest of hands . I wore gloves but I might have gotten some bulb grease on it I'm not sure if I did though. Is it easier to take off the bumper and do it?
  3. Hello everyone, Has anyone been having issues with their headlight or tail light bulbs burning out? I've had my 2014 since new and so far I've had to change the headlights and tail lights twice so far. My current headlight bulbs only have one year since iv replaced them and the driver side bulb is already out. It's a pain to replace them too. Does anyone have any recommendations on headlight bulbs? Is it an electrical issue?
  4. Are those Legacy '10-'12 springs? Will they lower the ride height?
  5. Let me know how's the ride, I'm looking to do a suspension upgrade but I'm not sure yet on if I want to buy coilovers or just softer lowering springs, the ride on the stock setup is pretty harsh.
  6. Another good filter is the Blitz SUS Performance LM . I got it for my 2014 leg and love it so far, similar to the AEM one it's reusable and doesn't have any oils, it's also made of cotton which supposedly is better quality. I recommend it.
  7. Last month I bought a Blitz Sus power lm air filter from Japanparts. It's been working pretty well up to now. The car feels like it has more horsepower up top, but it might be mental. I've also been noticing better gas mileage from the new air filter, I took a 4 hour road trip to D.C. a few weeks ago and averaged 30.5 mpg on premium 93 octane fuel. Overall I'm pretty happy with my purchase. Also, I'm looking into changing the rear diff to get better acceleration out of the car, anyone know of a good final drive ratio and what if anything else needs to be changed in the cars drivetrain to support a new diff?
  8. It usually takes about half a second for it to shift into drive from reverse and vice versa, it's normal just make sure to always come to a complete stop when you do and you should be fine.
  9. You may not notice a difference, at least I didn't, just slightly better gas mileage probably so take that into account on whether or not it's worth it.
  10. Is the car 87 octane only? I read in my owners manual that you should use 87 octane fuel or higher. I'm a bit confused on what that means, but I've been using 93 octane recently and notice no difference, only a little better fuel economy than I got with regular.
  11. It's a special order part, give them the part number (8618) and tell them you'd like to order one. I think it's because it was made for other markets and not the U.S., but when I bought mine the guy told me that they were getting a shipment of them in stock so they should have some left, unless they all sold.
  12. So I finally got mine and I've been driving with it for a week now and I have to say it really does improve the brake pedal feel by a lot, it feels like it eliminated about 3 inches of brake pedal travel.
  13. Thanks for your help, I just got an email back from them saying that they're getting a few in April.
  14. Awesome how did you actually order it though? I went one the website and when I went to check out it says that I need a company name to check out?
  15. Yes, but my concern is with the size of the bolt and would it do much to stop the deflection of the master cylinder. I have a video where someone actually records and shows the amount of deflection with and without a brake stopper if you're interested. The one he uses at first has an even sturdier looking bolt and it still deflects, he does say it feels better however. You can skip to 0:24 if you want to hear his explanation of the deflection, or to 1:45 to see the results. Video:
  16. I'm not sure tbh, it looks like a small bolt is the only thing that supports the master cylinder. I might give it a try though.
  17. Have you tried this one? The master cylinder looks like its only being supported by a bolt, is that going to be strong enough to stop the master cylinder from flexing?
  18. My car is at 44,000 miles so far so I think it's still a little early, but I plan on changing it at 60k or 80k the latest. Subaru says it's a lifetime fluid but I call BS on that. And glad it wasn't anything else serious.
  19. I hope it is, I really dislike the mushy brake pedal in my car
  20. Nice find! It says it fits outback, but I'm assuming it'll probably fit legacy's too right? Also please let me know if it makes a difference
  21. Just out of curiosity have any of the higher mileage CVT owners changed the CVT fluid in their cars?
  22. Oohh okay, thanks. It just started doing this to me recently and I noticed that it does go away after a few minutes of driving.
  23. I have a little over 40,000 miles on mine and it recently started doing something weird that has me a little concerned. So in the north east it's started to get cold and I've noticed that the transmission doesn't want to shift by itself past 4th gear, so around town I'm revving at like 2,000 rpm. This problem started when it started getting colder, has this happened to anyone else? Is it anything serious, and is there any fix?
