  1. Put the RPF1s on and put the eBay back glass spoiler on. Looks better than expected. Makes me want to ditch the trunk spoiler for a little lip too.

Tried to adjust the BCs but the upper perch kept moving. Anybody have some advice on how to raise these up some? (I want a little more clearance. The suspension hasn't settled in this pic, the tires are almost tucked when it does.)

  2. Interested in the outcome. It's my understanding the one inside that requires valve body removal is to blame. Thanks for posting and good luck with it.

That’s what I’ve been led to believe too. Turbine Sensor 2 is inside the VB, but you can get Turbine Sensor 1 by itself. It’s mounted just behind the starter. I’m hoping this does it, otherwise I’ll need a valve body... Just trying to exhaust all avenues before dropping $500ish on a valve body.

(Hoping it stops raining soon so I can get the TMIC back on and test drive it. Will post an update when done.)

  3. Changed the accelerator position sensor on Eleanor-Christine, which means the whole gas pedal assembly, since you can't get the sensor separate. Cleared memory 2. Now just need to wait till after the kid goes to bed to test drive it and perform the relearn procedure. *crosses fingers hoping this works*:spin:

If this doesn't do it, then at least I can be sure that it needs a valve body. FSM diag procedures have been VERY helpful.

(anyone have a Hexmod or IPT valve body for an '05 they want to get rid of?)

  4. Added a half quart of oil. Noticed some oil on the bottom of the filter, but none on the ground. Is it possible to have a leak that only happens when warm? Driveway is perfectly clean.

Also finally got around to changing the #1 and #3 plugs. Was getting lots of misfires from 1, and occasionally from 3. Runs much better. Will do other side tomorrow. Plugs look like they’ve never been changed.

  5. Thanks for all the tire recommendations, everyone. Going to mull this over for the weekend and decide on Monday.

It’s down to two choices now:

NTB has the BFG Comp 2 a/s on sale right now with the best out the door price, including one year of unlimited alignments. (And I have a box of Whiteline bushings waiting to go in.)

But, Costco is only slightly more for the Michelin Pilot Sport a/s 3+s. Though without an alignment or road hazard.
