  1. Sign on the dotted line then sir... Welcome to the subaru family.
  2. You can however why? The car will be very very tight and trunk filled with kiddo gear.
  3. I have an aftermarket condenser unit arriving Friday, I looked up steps on how to evac and load the system with 1234yf. But I also noticed that there is a metion of an oil that goes with the refrigerant so is there a mixture composition that I am supposed to follow?
  4. Nope not under warranty car has 63k miles , dealer charged me $240 to find the puncture and they quoted me $1200 and some change for repairs I told them to stop. So I got charged $192 for diagnostic I will replace it with aftermarket one , but wasn't sure about charging purging the system since this is a newer model. Never have done an ac condenser I do have the cars actual service repair guide I found online.
  5. Does anyone know the type of refrigerant that goes into this model ? Also the procedure for adding it, once I have the condenser replaced. I am guessing that I will have to purge the system out of any remaining refrigerant before topping it off
  6. are you sure you're not at the dealership representative cuz that's the exact issue that I was just told
  7. This is my 3rd Subaru and tbh I lost faith in the build quality it's a hot glued car at least with mine.
  8. Just curious does the active grill ambient temperature and or active grille shutter have anything at all in relation to the AC ? Thanks, it's just a mystery that a 18 would be having AC issues, but then again I have had nothing but issues with this lemonish car (Ex: Engine Blew Up, Trans, etc..)
  9. My 18 now has another issue, the A/C has stopped blowing cold air. So far I have checked fuses, relay and code read the car all clear. Any Ideas?
  10. Quick Q. Does anyone know if 2018, 2019 and 2020 line up supports android auto wireless? If so this would solve the various android auto lock-ups in our vehicles when direct interfacing via USB.
  11. Update Jan 20th 2020. Another Subaru dealership now in Delaware has the car because more issues , now they have ordered a new transmission according to the msg. I have a loaner vehicle , still upset because this vehicle will never be the same I'm afraid. Not sure why Subaru doesn't just buyback the car it's a lemon for sure. Oh on another note the 2020 outback what the heck is this engine shut off and start function at red lights it's annoying and all I see is wearing out a starter faster.
  12. I was under the impression that once the vehicle Hits 1 year of ownership the lemon Law does not apply I could be wrong.
  13. I have been going back and forth with Subaru they are taking their sweet time. In the meantime I guess that's another update the car is driving terribly it's making in a high-pitch sound between 40 to 60 miles an hour I'm only getting 20 miles to the gallon between 2nd and 3rd gear shift I guess it makes like jerking motion I'm mentally drained with all this.
  14. Can I ask any member here if they can post 3 clear images to this thread of the front of the car, a close up of the headlights, and side close up of the headlight. I will provide my car images for comparison of what I need to verify shortly. I am trying to compare the spacing between the top of the headlight assembly where it meets the hood as well as underneath it where it meets the bumper.
  15. :Update 01/13/20 : Picked up the car over the weekend, was told all the repairs where completed and road tested. However the vehicle now has the following: -EyeSight Disabled -RAB -Check Engine Light -Front Collision Avoidance light -Lane Departure Light And few other items including Active Grille Air Shutter" Stuck ON position. The Subaru Service manager tells me this is a result of a previous incomplete repairs from a minor front bumper tap by a school bus backing up. I drove the car for 4 months with none of these issues, then after the engine cracks and torque converter I am experiencing all of these issues. The car is now in my possession but got Subaru involved again and repair shop as well. According to the repair shop and Geico they have informed me that this is not a result of the minor bumper tap but a direct result of Subaru Manufacturing error. I am caught in the middle with a car that I feel unsafe and unreliable.
  16. Sorry correct in parallel otherwise you will be doubling voltage and cca in a series setup which could potentially cause a fire. Adding fuse blocks 18in before battery is a good idea as well. Now in regards to the battery management I didn't have a problem on my previous 13 legacy but not sure how it would apply to other models.
  17. I would think having a large-capacity optima battery wired in a series that also feeds into 2 / 3.0 farad capacitors would be way more than sufficient for your sound system this is how I had my previous vehicle wired and I never had any issues. At the time I was running Alpine type x subwoofers pushing much higher wattage than your current setup but again the point was I was still under max load.
  18. Have actually tried both and same thing happens but it's more common with Android
  19. Eugene see my post on here about the torque converter failure My engine cracked and car is still at dealership. Other issues seat squeaks again after new one placed. Moonroof rattles have returned and now the front windshield as well as the rear also rattle from time to time. The head unit frequently needs to be reset because it has a weird audio glitches with the Bluetooth.
  20. Try running a vinegar water solution mix be sure to wipe off the vinegar as it begins to exit out the nozzle then wash off the overspray with automotive soap as the vinegar is acidic. Have done this before and works really good
  21. Congrats I'm going to be right behind you after my 2018 is paid off way too many probs with this car.
  22. I received an update from Subaru Corp., they have informed me that a field engineer has revised the vehicle and that they are going to be replacing the following items: 1) Lower Block Assembly 2) Torque Converter Unit 3)I can't recall the other item but it's not the transmission at this time. The other problem I have been facing is that the vehicle is in New Jersey and I live in Delaware. According to the dealership loaner vehicles are for in-state purposes only. I have been forking out of my pocket for a rental vehicle which is getting to be very expensive. According to Subaru, they will be reimbursing me $50 a day, however, the rental is 57 a day plus additional taxes and fees. At this time I do not have any more money for a rental vehicle as I have already paid close to 700 dollars. And when exactly would I receive a check from them is anyone's guess. I find it hard to believe that a car manufacturer does not have a better relationship with its dealerships, and customers. Since this incident manufacturers default, the customer should not have to pay anything out of pocket. Lastly, my upmost concern now is overall vehicle safety what is going to guarantee me that I don't end up driving this car say to Florida and have another issue where I end up being stranded all over again.
