I don’t think I’ll be doing it , I don’t feel comfortable with the agreement/disagreement I’ve seen on whether it’ll be harmful or not -

I also asked Perrin the same question and provided them with the video, this was their answer “Thanks for the question and keeping us in mind! Some of this video is accurate but some is not… However! Adding a crank pulley does not do no more harm to the motor than any other performance part you add to the car, so you have nothing to worry about. We have been making the LCP since 2002/03 and have been on thousands of cars with hundreds of thousands miles driven, With not one issue of motor failure or oil pump issues because of it. The reason why you should have nothing to worry about is because Subaru motors are very balanced motors with a really short crank shaft, so there is really not much to balance. Reason why people think there could be an issue, is because they think the Subaru motor is like a V8 or 6 cylinder, where they have a really long crank that needs a harmonic balancer or Dampener. I hope this helps you out, please let me know if you have any more questions or how I can help you further. Thank you!” -

My serpentine belt has been squealing a lot since last weekend so I bought a new OEM belt. I was planning to install this weekend along with my Perrin light weight crank and water pump pulley, but after doing some research I’ve seen some people claiming that the lightweight pulleys can cause damage to the engine. I also found this video Can anyone advise me whether I should install the Perrin pulleys or not? -

Thank you all, does the rear differential require a washer as well? Also I didn’t buy it yet , but I was thinking of purchasing a couple of hella horns to help my car stand out a little more , but I’m not sure if it’s worth it if I have the oem grill. Anyone has the horns with the oem grill? Are they visible? -

Thank you, is the drain plug gasket/washer the same as the one used for the oil drain plug? -

Bought some Motul 300 transmission fluid to see if it improves the shifting in the winter. I remember reading somewhere in the forum that you shouldn’t change the transmission fluid all once unless a shop is doing it. Can someone confirm this ? -

Put on my summer wheels and adjusted my 19mm Perrin sway bar to the stiffest setting. Getting the ballstud into the third hole was a lot tougher than I expected -

I installed the perish shifter bushing today , but the gears still feel s little notch yu, might try changing the transmission fluid. Also, I went to the dealership to make sure they could do the alignment if I lower my car with the eibach springs but they said they don’t do lower cars, any recommendations on where I can get my alignment ? -

I finally installed the Perrin sts adapter. Took me 3 hours to remove the pin and then another hour to remove the Oem shifter plate itself . Didn’t come off as easy as I thought. I had to remove the cross member . Does anyone know the correct torque for the 2 nuts in the middle and the two bolts that go outside in order to install the crossmember back on? I don’t want to strip anything -

I didn’t do it yet , but I’ll be installing my Perrin 19 mm sway bar this weekend . I had a question though , the Perrin instructions say that the bushing bracket should be torqued to 12’ lbs, but what I’ve read through out the forums is 30’lbs, which is s huge difference . Should I do 12 as Perrin recommends ? -

I bought the Perrin lightweight crank and water pulley a couple months ago. Didn’t installe them yet, but is there any concern in installing them? I’ve read that on other vehicles it may cause CELs or premature wear -

I was just thinking about this , I’m planning to run 18” anzo wheels with 245 tire during the summer, but in the winter I will be running the oem 16” steel wheels, should I be concern about being too low because of the snow ? -
