Nice! I'm going to have mine up on Boost Creep's dyno this Friday. Also, took her out to HPR over the weekend. Thanks again for getting my AFR's in check!

About 2 years back, I went into a Subaru dealer to see what I could get for a trade-in (I realize this statement may not go over too well on this forum--I appologize).
Sales person, or manager, asked me if I was sure it was a specB, and referenced the lack of both badging and rear spoiler.
Also, has anyone heard anything about #388--that was mine up until last March? It was in the Rockville MD area, and its only external feature was a lowered profile (Subaru pink springs).
I bought my SpecB before they shipped. I walked into my dealer and asked for it. They had no idea what I was talking about.
I personally find that the sales people are much more ignorant about what's subaru is doing then your average forum user is.

Just wanted to chime in and give my $0.02.
Recently I made quite a few changes to my leggy. Pulled out a FMIC, deleted my TGV's and LGT manifold, added a ceramic coated STi manifold (port matched to the TGVs), phenolic spacers and perrin inlet. The smart money was on me not really needing to do much to my tune, but my sensors disagreed. My Spec was runnin' lean.
Spent some time with Dave last night, and he got me dialed in. Not only is the car feeling that much better, he also dropped some knowledge. All and all, a great experience. Give Dave a call!

If its as clean as mine is at 49k, I think I would ask 19k, take 17k as my low number. Good luck with decision/sale.

This is TheFox88, and I moved from AZ to Longmont, CO about 7 months ago.
You should come to our '06 Spec B meet up in May, (thread is in the Mountain forum)! PM me if you need any details.
-
we should try to set a spec date early so as many as possible can show. I'd be amped to see 9 others, lined up chronologically.
agreed
-
I think we should all meet in Boulder take a nice Mountain shot with the Spec's in forefront.
Red Rocks.. We can drive up towards the top lot, there is a killer spot for a shot near that tunnel through the rock..

Thanks finse, at least someone around here reads... ( or watches movies made out of books)
The movie paled in comparision to the books. I'm almost through the Dark Tower series now
-
another spec in the denver area? Its just like in the stand, where all the good folk make their way to boulder...
lol

Hey everybody, I just moved to Longmont, CO a month ago for an engineering job. No longer in Prescott/Flagstaff. I have # 321 with me.
Welcome! You should join us for our next numbered meet

Ah! Bummer! Have you already contacted the state about the pothole? If so, who did you contact and how? I'll file a complaint about the pothole as well. I'm sure they've had at least a few reports about it already, too. So, the claim SHOULD go smooth and quick.
I could not get through to a human, so I submitted an electronic claim. They did not ask for address information, etc.. so I imagine I'll be getting something in snail mail. Apparently the state carries insurance just for this reason, so I concur, this should not be a big deal
-
Haha. What did the tire shop say? Did you need and/or get an alignment?
Oh man.... I need an alignment, I probably needed one before that pot hole.. But, the tire shop had bad news for me. The rim is bent, the tire has a bubble... So the entire setup is trash.
The good news here is the tires are brand new. So Discount is replacing the tire, even though I choose not to purchase the warranty/certificates. I have only gone down 1/32s of tread wear, so that is within tolerance, and only one replacement tire is required.
I sourced a brand new rim through Go West, to the tune of $405.45. Hopefully my claim w/ the state will go smoothly and they will pick up the bill.
I still have to look at my tie rods, etc.. to make sure they are in check. I may just wait for the alignment for that task and let a subaru tech make that call for me.
The worst part of all this, is the GTB is all hold up in the garage until that tire arrives!

Absolutely! Glad you made it home safe. Still diving into your premium beverage tonight?
I ended up asking for a rain check. 11:30 is late to start drinking when one has work the next morning
On another note, I'm at the tire shop having my wheels inspected...
-
Tonight was awesome. Great meeting/seeing you guys. We need to do this more often.
-
I'm going... Bringing Eekay and AKLGT w/ me.. Just a little rain, right?
-
I was also reminded I may have had a bottle of sake not too long before the karting. Lolz
1/2 bottle of sake is usually enough!

Ah! I still haven't been able to make it there and it's driving me crazy. I've heard it's super groovy...
I want to go as well, but I think the best deals are at odd times. Good thing I have some PTO coming up

So, FINSE WILL BE MY RIDIE-POO?
You got it buddy. We can work out the details over PM.

Denver LegacyGT.com meet Tuesday 5/24 @ 7pm
Location: The Olive Garden Northfield (8314 Northfield Boulevard Denver, CO 80238)
I spoke with the manager 'Dan' this afternoon. I explained to him there would probably be around 10 cars, and we would park a little further out as not to trouble their other customers. Dan was super cool about it, told me about his uncles 63' Vette and I proceeded to tell him some of us would stay to eat at the Olive Garden. No one, however, is obligated to stay for food.
AKLGT - how about bringing me down one of those stickers. I can pony up some dough on site, or send it via paypal.
-
Lolz. no doubt, especially since you're supposed to be my ride!
but in case you didn't see, I'm actually staying at the Courtyard Marriott, not the Staybridge. Apparently our training is at the Staybridge and we're booked at the Courtyard. No big deal for me since i can hopefully snag the stay for my Marriott Rewards membership. It still has a pool and fitness area, so I will be all set! Just don't make fun of my food baby because I plan to get completely Olive Garden wasted! Probably eat enough food for the rest of the week!
I'll can act as a backup ride to you and eekay, just in case eekay's ride is not ready for the meet.

Speaking of work, how did the clutch install go?
Dave
We started Saturday night and finally finished up yesterday afternoon. Overall, things went pretty well with the exception of the shift shaft seal, which had blown. We had to remove the extension case of the transmission in order to pull and replace that seal.. Cost us about 1.5 days & $38 ($8 for the seal, $30 for the fuji bond)
I'm totally stoked on how well the car is responding. My new setup is super grippy and all the new bushings/mounts really make me feel more connected to the car
-
Yipes! I just found out my valves will bend if I don't either put in thicker head gaskets, grind down the pistons or replace the pistons... I sure hope my car is ready by Tuesday night!
You know, this would not have happened if we didn't plan a meet!
-
Excellent. I'll call the manager at the Olive Garden tomorrow to make sure we are cool.
