#4) Percent of highway vs. city driving: 50/50

    #5) Tires used previously: DWS A/S, MPSS A/S 3

#6) Your review and personal comments:

Previous Michelin's lasted 20k miles (Discount Tire prorated), roads in this area are tough on tires, wet & dry performance was excellent, packed snow or ice not so good. I was very hesitant to buy the new model Michelin again but since they claimed there was a 28% snow/ice improvement I gave them a shot.

I'm very impressed with A/S 3+ dry & wet is still excellent, it's a very quiet smooth riding tire, packed snow with some ice performance is greatly improved, fresh snow ( it's been dumping up here so I took her out for some fun) is very good and of course any A/S on ice is not going to be the greatest.

I was looking to buy a set of these tires. I really don't know what to get...so many tired and so many reviews. I want something on my 2.5i that allows me to have very good dry and wet handling, but also allow me to have better handling on snow and ice than my goodyear assurance oem's. These seem to be rated very very well on dry/wet, and pretty decent on snow (but am hoping they are better than mine on snow). I guess I was thinking about these, the DWS 06's, or CINTURATO P7 ALL SEASON PLUS.

  2.

Thanks for the suggestions! What is the difference between Grand Touring A/S and Ultra High Performance A/S? I've been trying to google it but I get mixed answers. Is grand touring for general all season, go anywhere on one set of tires...where high performance all season has more traction and control for say speed and cornering while giving all season rating?

  3. Hop over to Bend if you want more snow. This is 24 hours of snow two days ago.

And the new Cloudchaser lift opened at Mt Bachelor yesterday. My wife and I had to be first day riders!

So jealous. I can't wait to make it over to Bachelor this season! I've been so busy, how'd your Legacy handle in the deep snowy conditions?

  4. Well I put the 20mm on just now. I had a heck of a time getting it just right, but I can tell the big difference in ride quality. Cornering and even just driving seems so much smoother and flatter! I didn't go too hard since I wanted to get it broken in. I heard some weird noises though like it was settling in or something as I was driving, is this normal?
  5. I know, you do not have any time to read the prior posts in this thread or too busy to use the Search ability. A quote just came to mine..

"you can lead (or take) a horse to water but you can't make him drink"

    Search "20mm" post #415

Hopefully, you will take advantage of the Search Function it informative and save a lot of time.

Laughter is the key to happiness

Thanks for being passive aggressive, it really helps! I really appreciate that. How can the key to happiness be laughter, if you don't make me laugh?

  6. Would it be possible to split the single 2.5i exhaust into a dual exhaust (would you use the 3.6r exhaust?)...but instead you would keep the stock exhaust on 1 side, and then get the Nameless straight pipe on the other. Then you can either put a plate between the flange on either side..so if you want to drive straight pipe for the weekend you put the blocker plate in the flange that goes to the stock exhaust and vice versa..possible?
