  1. Safe to assume I'm always full of sh!t. Unless we're talking schnauzer's, then I'm dead serious.
  2. That's rclark0032's car. I jacked it from his garage while he's out of town and went for a joy ride. I decided mid powerslide that I wanted to rescue a dog instead. Got clipped by a bus, hence the door damge, but I picked up a real cool schnauzer.

Erp... sorry, didn't read your question right. I'll have to defer to F1 as he hooked up that wire.

we brought a new +12V line into the cabin directly from the battery on it's own fuse.
  5. Read all the posts. I had to post, because you reminded me of Walter screaming at Donny in the bowling alley making reference to a 4 year old child walking in to the middle of a movie. Hijack --off--
  6. TRS posted this earlier in the thread, not sure if that's the info you're looking for: http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b380/TRS60586/Misc%20Legacy/RearDiffMount-1.jpg

Again, I'm sure that sounds better in Romanian.

Sweet jebus, I'm away for a day and the NC goes all to he77. A fish tape doesn't have to be metal, in fact, a fiberglass or epoxy fish will do nicely in this case. F1, no need to buy one, I have several. And why the questions about running wires to the trunk, were you not conscious during the 10 minutes it took me to get wire from your engine bay into the trunk, zip tied and trim put back together? The biggest problem in the LGT running large amounts of wire is the bracing in the floor which creates several obstructions along the way. No big deal. We'll get it done.

I have the garmin GPS antenna for my Kenwood system mounted close to that position. Mine is actually underneath the third brake light housing. Plenty of room and ZERO reception issues. Oh, and stealth FTW!
  10. Correct. The relay gets replaced regardless... hence the recall. As Vimmy said, if the fans are a runnin, then the ECU gets replaced as well.
  11. according to the TSB posted, if the fans come on before the engine is at operating temp, your ECU is borked.
  12. It's obvious if your ECU is bad and needs to be replaced. If the radiator fan runs constantly while the car is warming up, its toast. That's the test outlined in the TSB. So if you fan isn't running, you can leave the AP married, they will replace the relay, verify your fan isn't running, case closed.
  13. Just got my NEON pink postcard from Subaru in the mail today. Its ironic that my car is already at the dealer for an unrelated issue. I'll call them tomorrow and remind them to replace the relay as I'm confident their left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing.
  14. I'll keep that in mind on the next trip out. Spotted an OBP LGT w/ spoiler, hood protector and the two rear door windows tinted today on 90/94 heading back into the city near the Bryn Mawr/austin exits.
  15. A client of mine has a couple of lake houses on Lake Holiday. We're doing a theater in the basement of the guest house. Still some snow out there so he advised I not take the Ferrari out today:(
  16. Saw big bad Dave and his blacked out ride on I-88 this morning. I was on my way to Sandwich, IL. Dave was on his way to the Sybaris.

How did you attach the enclosure to the car? I ask because I have a sub enclosure much like yours in the same position. While it fit snug, the top heavy nature of the sub itself always landed the entire thing on its face somewhere else in the trunk. I finally had a welder friend tack weld a bolt to the trunk floor and drilled a hole in the bottom of the enclosure. Hasn't moved since...
  18. Depends on the offset and tire size. My 18x8's do not rub.

Done, used a T-square and the CRT geometry proves true. Your touch pad on the other hand.... I bet it looks awesome with the roll top cover closed. Anyway, looks good. Can't wait to see it in action.

for the love of god, or wood, or magic mushrooms, please square up the touchpad. It gives me vertigo.

You don't want those worms, or the can they come in. Buy a Nuvi, schlap it in the cubby and walk away.

Too much sheen on the bezel paint. Hit it with 0000 steel wool to knock a little glare off it. It will be distracting in the sunlight, IMO. Fab work looks excellent, you've learned a thing or two since your info display relocation days.
