  1. Looking for the part number for the oil filter cover and the philips head pop-its that hold it in place. 2006 if it matters.
  2. A new headunit can be installed anywhere in the car you have the money to put it. Seriously. With that said, the glovebox would be the only location other than the stock location that would not be a nightmare for daily use, IMO, in a car that already has NAV installed in the dash.
  3. Hope you got the skillz to pay the bills, because you'll need them to make that piece work. My suggestion, cancel the order while you still can and get your yen back.
  4. Well, the spoiler, that and I know his car pretty well. This one was spotless and relatively unmolested:lol:
  5. Parked next to a black LGT with tints and a spoiler in the Walgreens lot tonight at Kedzie and Irving. Might have crossed paths in the parking lot of it weren't for the lady with 200 items at the checkout counter. I, with my stealth skills, checked out at the pharmacy counter before the line had even moved one person. Saw a blue Legacy on 355 this afternoon with a small scratch on the rear bumper. It should buff out. http://www.photodump.org/stored20/bumperfied.jpg
  6. Manufacture, not much. Tool up for the project, cost prohibitive.
  7. Sounds like a plan guys. You were under the wrong impression.
  8. Just realized by spacer, he meant wheel spacer. Yeah, don't run a wheel spacer, get properly sized wheels, IMO.
  9. Nope, you got that about as wrong as possible:lol: * any STi caliper (04-07) will fit any LGT (05-08) * You must use 5x100 front rotors, only available on the 04 version of the STi * Rear calipers require relocation brackets, such as those from Kartboy * Rear rotors must be a hybrid type offered by DBA through MachV or from Brembo
  10. I know this is a BBK thread, but you can also look into Legacy GT front calipers and rotors as a very cost effective upgrade. Not sure what the Outback stock rears are like, but the Legacy GT, Racing Brake rear kit, and the H6 upgrade are all options.
  11. short answer: 04 STi front brakes are complete bolt-on, 05-07 you can use the front calipers, but not the rotors, wrong bolt pattern. In all cases, rear calipers require adapter brakets (Mach V motorsports) as well as a hybrid rotor that has the proper inner diameter for our parking brake.
  12. Wow, I thought spotting DF2 on the forum was impressive enough, but someone actually saw his car?
  13. ha, yeah, the salt spray has been pretty nasty around here lately.
  14. Obviously I'm biased, but I think they take away from the classic style of the 5 spoke design and I don't like the contrast they add either. But, like you said, person choice which is why we can run 'em anyway we want. Just wish it was summer so mine could go back on.
  15. Looks a lot like my car. I think the GC-05's look better sans stickers though.
  16. I do, they look good. However, given the opportunity, I would have gone with black calipers to keep the car looking a little less noticeable. Gold Brembos are more common and less expensive than the black ones.
  17. That's good to hear. As soon as I read your post, I PM'd him about your spring solution. I had just heard it in person the other night and he was pretty bummed about it. How random that he had a planned stop in your town on his way out west.
  18. Speaking of the Thrill, I saw Rao downtown today. Parked next to his car in the parking lot and snapped a pic of the JDM leopard print fuzzy steering wheel cover his kids gave him. It was SICK. http://www.photodump.org/stored19/leopard.jpg
  19. H501SAG200, but there's no map lights. Those are built-in to the headliner.
  20. buying the calipers is the easy part. The rear brackets and rotors add up quick cause you're not likely to find them used.
  21. my bad, I mis-read your question. But anyway, we're supposed to know what car you're talking about how...?
  22. I'm guessing you missed post #2 in this thread...
