  1. From what it looks like on the diagram, seems like you still need the GPS Antenna 2016 Diagram - http://parts.subaruofpuyallup.com/a/Subaru__Legacy25L-CVT-4WDPremium-Sedan/60018681__6703012/AUDIO-PARTS-RADIO-SYSTEM-16MY-/B15-860-04.html
  2. Yeah, I'll try to take pictures / video's of the install next week. If this swap works like I hope it will, I would probably sell the stock unit on Ebay, looks like I can fetch anywhere between $300 - $700.
  3. Just picked up the GPS Antenna from Subaru (cost about $60) Part # is 86277AL60A - It's placed above / around the speedometer. The 7" FUJITSU TEN NAV unit (part# 86271AL64A) will be here next week, the plan is to take out the 7" Radio, install the 7" Nav with GPS antenna and hope everything works! https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1557/24030081684_6046a0920f_c.jpg' alt='24030081684_6046a0920f_c.jpg'>Subaru GPS Antenna part# 86277AL60A by AustinB747, on Flickr[/img]
  4. Just found what the back of the 7" Nav unit looks like -
  5. Do you have a link for this bulb? I recently bought some 1SMD blue LED's off Amazon... looks like the same ones. I also wanted a dimmer LED. The 5SMD in my opinion is a little to bright for everyday driving. ALSO - I've had the same issue as Andrew had with the Cutequeen 5SMD Blue LED's !!!! Had one of them burn out in just 2 days! I CANNOT recommend these LED's. The purchase I made from Amazon included 4 LED's, so I replaced the malfunctioning LED with another and it's been working out okay. Still... I've only had them in a few weeks, I'm not expecting them to hold up. - 1SMD LED (haven't installed yet) - [ame=http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HXAKBGS?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00]S&D Big Sale!!!5PCS T10 1 SMD 5050 Blue License Plate Interior 194 W5W LED Car Light Bulb Lamp - - Amazon.com[/ame] - 5SMD LED installed, see post #67 for pictures. - [ame=http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009YPIZ36?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00]Amazon.com: Cutequeen LED Car Lights Bulb Blue T10 5050 5-SMD 194 168 (pack of 4): Automotive[/ame]
  6. Oh yeah GPS, I thought you were talking about something else. Yeah, I did a search a few weeks ago and came up empty handed for pictures of the back of the NAV unit. I did however find pictures of the 7" radio (for sale on Ebay). Now if we can just find pictures of what the NAV looks like on the backside, we will have a better idea of what wiring would be needed. Interestingly, on the back side of this 7" radio (non-nav) is a blue port.... on VW / Audi, the blue port was always GPS? The primary thing I'm concerned with is if the gauge display is already integrated with the vehicle, and would show directions if the NAV unit was hooked up. [/url]
  7. Another difference I've noticed is the slot for the SD cards (maps) doesn't pop open on the premium trim (W/O Nav) radio. That as well as the physical map button not being on the non-nav unit makes me think the whole unit would have to be swapped out.
  8. Hmmm, interesting. This part (83002AL17A) is only about $12, but is listed as "steering responsive fog light switch". The original part listed in this discussion (H4510AL100), if found in stock is around $50 and is just listed as "fog switch" I wonder if it would work?
  9. Anyone have an idea why the Fog Lamp Switch (Part Number H4510AL100) is discontinued at allot of places? I'm trying to piece this kit together without the lamp assemblies and instead use Morimoto lamps.
  10. Yes that will work for a crimp / butt connector. The black device is an in-line fuse holder, you can buy it here - Scosche 0400ATCFH16-5 ATC Fuse Holder 16 Gauge 5 Pack https://www.amazon.com/dp/B008CVPE8C/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_wgN6vbQ3WHR6F
  11. Also, here is a picture of the front footwell lighting with these LED's from Amazon, I think the color is almost a perfect match! Amazon LED's - [ame=http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009YPIZ36?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s02]Amazon.com: Cutequeen LED Car Lights Bulb Blue T10 5050 5-SMD 194 168 (pack of 4): Automotive[/ame] https://farm1.staticflickr.com/755/20530977493_40765fa1bc_c.jpg' alt='20530977493_40765fa1bc_c.jpg'>Subaru Footwell Lighting by AustinB747, on Flickr[/img]
  12. Hmm, I'll have to get that plastic bottle idea a try. Here is a picture of the area where the LED is mounted for anyone who is wondering. https://farm1.staticflickr.com/749/21159870691_4a5bce8f9f_c.jpg' alt='21159870691_4a5bce8f9f_c.jpg'>Subaru Footwell LED by AustinB747, on Flickr[/img]
  13. Hey, just installed front footwell lighting, so easy! Had a question though, does anyone know if there is a plastic cover to protect the LED? It looks as if there is a mounting point for a cover, but I haven't seen anyone talking about it? Would it come with the OEM footwell lighting kit? Anyone have a part #? Just worried about passengers kicking the light....
  14. Yeah, I would rather not take off the door panels either, could potentially lead to rattles / noises later down the road, which would drive me crazy. Let me know what the SM says.
  15. Any update on modifying the mirrors? I found this article over on the forrester forums, looks like they were successful in adding the blinkers on the mirrors. I'm definitely interested in adding these. Here is a youtube link for them being installed on a 2015 STI -https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iqtSpJerlIY
  16. While I've tested out some aftermarket head units, I would like to stay OEM Subaru if possible. I've never done any coding with a Subaru, so I'm not even sure If going from a radio to Nav is possible? They install both the NAV and the Radio in the Premium, so I'm thinking it would be an possibility.
  17. Which AVIC model did you install? I was just hoping to keep OEM compatibility, and the possibility for turn by turn indicators by the gauges. I've had the car about a week, but still missing navigation from my last two cars (2014 VW Passat & 2006 Audi A6)
  18. This Thread is to discuss the possibility of swapping in the OEM Subaru Navigation system into a Legacy model without Navigation. The size seems the same, wondering if it would be plug and play, or if coding would be involved, what other components would need to be installed, if any? The price for a new OEM 7" Navigation is around $1250 + Maps SD card for around $300. So, has anyone thought about this / done this?
