I have had option 1 since 2009, no issues whatsoever. You also need 2004 STi rear rotors so throw in another $200 for that. Stock lines work but a custom (shorter) one is preferable. You can get all parts from KNS https://knsbrakes.com/c/caliper-items/2383_Subaru+V1+Rear+STI+Brembo+Caliper+Upgrade-Oversize+Park+Brake+Shoes/

I used a small zip tie 4 or 5 years ago.

Hey guys, for those of you who have the Rev AC front bumper, what fogs did you use with it and/or where can you pick them up? Any pics on the install or brackets would also be helpful. Thanks in advance!

Mine is an 09 STi 6MT with Spec B 5&6, 08+ models have the same 2-4 gearing. Andrewtech did the work and it was already pricey years ago.

Correction: 2008 STI trays work with JDM bumpers
Do they have a window for the oil filter?
-
Can the USDM under tray still be used with the JDM front? I want to stick with the stock ones only because of the oil filter window.

Many of the OB guys are getting the premium and limited models and installing the Touring's (and JDM's) lower roof rails. The lower ones cost in the hundreds of dollars. Which is cheaper than the difference of touring over limited.
And I do almost completely stop/go/traffic/city (sub 30mph) driving with my '18 3.6, and I'm sitting right at 20mpg, lol.
Price of Limited + Eyesight Package (I want the LED headlights) is almost the same as Touring. We might just go with a 2.5i.

Trying to convince my wife to replace our '07 Mazda CX9 with a '18 Outback Touring (just because I could not stand those standard roof rails). What kind of gas mileage are you getting with the 3.6 engine?

Gonna pick up some vinyl wrap. Satin black paint didn’t come out the way I wanted. Pretty neat install. My first time soldering/heatshrinking.

Use Matte/Flat Black vinyl wrap

Wonder who from here snagged this...marked as sold already
-
I'd really like to pick that up; it's even the correct color. Two issues though:
1. I can't spend $800 on it.
2. You can never see the condition of the paint from pictures so then I go back to 1 because I'd have to get a respray probably.
1. You can ask the seller if he is willing to sell the just the nose, you do not need the hood and bumper.
2. If you are pretty crafty, you can DIY with a kit from paintscratch.com.

The 03-08 JDM Legacy Wagon doesn't use any type of crash beam due to Japanese Dot standards. Thus it is the shortest bumper length of all the legacy wagon versions in the world. My buddy used a EDM beam and cut it down to size + using the EDM beam brackets in order to have a crash beam on the rear JDM Wagon Bumper. Just FYI.
I was thinking of doing this hack to the rear beam (from an older post). Cut 2-3 inches and braze it back on. Seems aluminum brazing can be a DIY project.

Color match fail, rest of car looks yellow-er/darker than bumper. That being said, my car hasn't seen any paint care product in over 3 years . I will need to clay, compound, polish and wax to be able to judge how far off the color is.
Side question: Is there a way to make the headlight motors move without the leveling switch? My right side is higher than the left.
-
Got the JDM bumper installed today. As mentioned before, I just removed my crash beam for now. I'll build/cut a thin one at a later date/time.
Would a simple aluminum bar attached to the bumper beam mounts work? Kinda like a poor man's version of the Beatrush brace.

I installing my JDM LGT rear wagon bumper on this weekend, let me know if you need any specific pictures or measurements.
are you gutting your beam to make it work or taking it out completely?

Waxiboy, which paint shop did you select?
JC Auto here in LoCo....I pass by it on the way home from work so it is convenient...great price too!
Great opportunity to delete the license plate mounts, if a front plate isn’t required in your state.Unfortunately VA isn't one one of them

Progress...getting it back by the end of the week.

Some shops that I've talked to about body work would prefer it if you didn't do anything to "make it less work for them" since typically unless you're a body guy and you're going to do it all your self then you're actually creating more work for the body shop as they have to redo some of your work. ymmv
I used to own a body shop many years ago. I am familiar with prep work but nothing beyond wet sanding.

I got quoted $650 to repair and paint my Rev A-C bumper
Oh boy, mine has a few deep scratches that will require a good amount of filler, no cracks though. I am planning to pre-sand mine at home with #400...hopefully that saves me a few bucks.

How much did you guys pay to get the bumper skin painted?
-
Can your friend get 'dirt cheap' nose cut for 2008+ subaru outback ? Would have to be a diesel one so I can get a hood with a hood scoop.
There was one Rev A-C Outback, not what you are looking for
So who still owns 4th gen LGT bought new?

Purchased in Sep 2005, 191K miles. Just replaced the AC mode servo and cabin filter yesterday. I have a laundry list of things to do this year:
1. Install aluminum LCA with Gr N bushings
2. Replace PS pump and PS rack
3. Replace brake pads and rotors, flush brake fluid
4. Replace spark plugs and do a compression test
5. If compression test goes well, get new VF52 then tune
6. Install new turbo inlet
7. New tires by Summer
8. New timing belt, H2O pump, pulleys before 200K miles (later this year)
