  1. Your Nameless deletes don't look to be centered. Are they touching the bumper on the outsides?

I had a Nameless ABE (with 4" mufflers) on my previous '08 STI and by God were they awful! They had incredible amounts of drone at lower RPM's and around-town driving, but provided almost zero additional grunt while getting on it, which was I was really hoping for. I had to get rid of them after only a few months of trying to get used to them!

I just put on the Nameless ABE with the 5" muffler. I really like the sound. Glad I didn't go with the muffler delete; this one is loud enough.

  2. Bulldust!

I believe bright lights promote safety, especially with motorcycles. That is why I put in a LED bulb in my motorcycle light. Since then, I have noticed a big reduction in the number of cars pulling out in front of me. For that I say if its too bright for some motorists eyes, too friggin' bad, but my life depends on YOU seeing me.

For my Legacy I put in LED's for my DRL's which are also the brights. During the day the lights are quite bright, but during daylight hours its not going to blind anyone. During the evening, and when you are on a dark unlit road and put on the brights, wow what a difference. It's nice to be able to see way down the road and the sides lit up nice and bright. Allowed me to see a coyote once in the ditch just prior to him running across the road, and I was then able to brake in time to avoid hitting him.

  3. Ok... so I’m having the same exact problem and unfortunately this happened months within my 3 year warranty mark. Updates on what happened? I noticed the lights came on after I last filled up gas actually. Now they won’t go away... also how are the gas caps related to an eyesight malfunction light?

All I did was replace the gas cap and that fixed the problem. Because the seal was broken inside the gas cap, it caused the check engine light to come on. I was told that when the check engine light comes on, it will automatically cancel all EyeSight features, including the adaptive cruise control, and therefore the EyeSight light also appears. Check the inside of your gas cap and if the seal looks worn or torn, replace it. I got a replacement gas cap at an auto store for $12.

  4. I don't want to make my own post about this, so I was hoping to sneak in here and ask a quick question about eyesight, lane keeping assist, and all that..

When driving, I often have to cross over the two yellow lines in order to pass cyclists. What would eyesight do in that situation? Would it start beeping, and would the steering try to pull me back into the lane? I know I could just go test drive a car with eyesight, but I don't really want to do that just yet.

You didn't specify what year of vehicle you were interested in, so just to be clear the Eyesight in my 2015 will only beep when you cross over a marked lane plus give you the visual warning. This year does not have lane keeping assist.

  5. The lights came back! After clearing codes the lights came back on after a couple days. I didn't know what to do next so off to the dealer I went. They diagnosed it and told me the gas cap was defective. The seal inside of the cap had deteriorated and caused the major evaporation leak.

I just put on a new cap so hopefully that fixed the issue.

Check the seals on your gas cap!

  6. Checked fuses - OK. Got an OBD scan done and code came up as major emissions leak. Checked air cleaner and hoses and all was good. Codes were cleared and after driving around for a day and a half, everything is good, the warning lights have not come back on. Maybe the re-tightening of the gas cap was all it needed.
  7. Thanks for the replies so far.

The lights came on when I started the car in my garage a couple days ago. Weather and/or a dirty windshield are not the culprit in this case. Note that the check engine light is also on. I understand that if it comes on then the EyeSight feature is automatically disabled.

Just prior to the lights coming on I had an oil change done and gassed up. I checked the gas cap and re-tightened. Drove around for a day and the lights are still on.

Next step will be to check fuses and put a OBD scanner on to check the codes.

  8. I went to leave after fireworks and my battery was dead. Jumped it and today no issues except when I went out this morning I noticed my windshield is cracked. Dealer wants nothing to do with it but does want 240.00 to re-cal eyesight. I have seen a bunch of related threads so I'll hunt them down. Not one issue in 16 months/12K and Bang! Oh well, have not called insurance yet. Not up to it.

I replaced my windshield a year ago (not through Subaru). No re calibration was done and the Eyesight works fine.

  9. Haha that's the same response they just emailed me. At $175 im not a buyer. Had they responded back to me last week when I asked if they had any pics of the actual item I would have bought it at $140. It's weird the new listing says free shipping but then says $25 shipping.

Oh well. I replied back to see if he will honor the original price if not oh well I'm sure somebody else will start knocking it off soon.

They have it at $149 with free shipping now.

  10. This color is underrated, especially with the black roof.

Got mine fully detailed in and out yesterday, plus got the roof wrapped in gloss black.

Yeah that looks great! Perfect touch for any New Orleans Saints fans out there as well  !

Agreed. I like the color. If they had it available when i got my legacy, I would have considered that color.

Thanks! I actually wanted the grey metallic when I went to buy my Legacy but the dealer didn't have one or were able to find one for me. They had this tungsten sitting in the lot and I wasn't sure if I liked the color, but after I bought it I decided I made the right choice.
