  1. I'm also waiting on TH's latest revision for the 3.6. I'm actually also curious about the new tune Subaru says will be debuted on the 2018 Legacy. Hopefully Matt can get his hands on that tune when it comes out and update ours with whatever new parameters they have, plus whatever he can develop off of it.
  2. Oh no..I was finally glad to have gotten rid of that noise, I hope it doesn't come back!
  3. I love having my car not squeaking or making weird noises. I'm glad yours was able to be fixed too!
  4. Update: what was ordered was a steering rack..I picked up my car from the dealership after the work was completed..I'm in love all over again. No sound whatsoever, steering is tight..everything is all good. They also performed a wheel alignment after replacing the steering rack...the car now feels solid and more importantly, no annoying rattling or any noise coming from the engine bay.
  5. For the sake of being thorough, they're ordering a new steering column, waiting on that bc it's on backorder.
  6. I just recently went back to the dealership and they were able to replicate the noise. They also drove three other legacies and outbacks and they had the same noise too. I'm gonna tell the dealership about the trans wire and see if that fixes it. They called SoA and were told to check the transmission mounts but all was good. The sound is driving me crazy.
  7. I was just on the romraider website and the 6th gen legacy ecu isn't listed as a supported ecu...Have you guys actually used romraider to log data, or get real time info??
  8. This noise is a new noise though...maybe within the past two thousand miles.
  9. So I've recently been hearing this weird noise, sounds like it's coming from the front driver's side suspension. I know it sounds crazy, but you can clearly hear this noise when the car is cold, like first started, and you go over any road surface. After about ten minutes the noise stops being heard over just any road surface and you'll only hear the noise if you really jostle the suspension over rough road, like train tracks. Went to two different dealers, one seemed to think it was the front brake caliper bracket so they replaced it, but that didn't fix it. Another dealership thought it might be the trans cooler lines, but they were definitely understanding and at least believed me when it came to the noise. They're willing to troubleshoot further but I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue. My car is a 2016 with close to 22,000 miles on it. Thanks again for your help.
  10. I haven't been able to reach Matt in about two weeks. I'm glad he got back to you. Hopefully he'll get back to me too. I'm waiting on the 93 tune.
  11. I just hit 110 today after my tune..no room for 120 lol. I'll have to test that out.
  12. I have a few questions about the tactrix itself...can it be used for real time data? What else can it do..I'm curious.
  13. Haha, my job's IT dept It's just a standard usb to mini usb cable. The one provided gave the openport power but wasn't allowing it to be recognized by the computer.
  14. Ok, so I figured it out..the provided cable was defective, it seems to be working correctly now after switching cables. It took the entire day to figure that out, lol. I'll keep you guys updated.
  15. When I connected everything up, turn the ignition on (two clicks), the software isn't picking up that I have the tactrix plugged into the car.
  16. I downloaded the ecuflash software, Plugged in the Tactrix to car and computer, Opened EcuFlash, Selected model of car and chose: Subaru BRZ (like told)...from here there is no read from ecu button, it's grayed out. I turn the car on, ignition on..nothing. I took pictures of the laptop, I'll try uploading them. I followed the instructions.
  17. Hey everyone, I bought the tactrix and connected everything to my car but the ecuflash software doesn't give me the option to read the ecu. What am I doing wrong?
  18. Hey, I also purchased from Hudson Subaru...it's a crap shoot going there, but it's a formality that you have to go through. I got a negative response from the dealer, but they did take pictures and sent it to SOA. I also got a negative response from SOA based on the information given to them by Hudson Subaru. If you are going to replace the glass through Subaru, don't purchase it from Hudson. They charge approximately $700, whereas other dealerships in the area charge significantly less. PM me if you'd like.
  19. I've had numerous cars, Nissans and Audis....not one of their windshields cracked when hit with minute pebbles or small rocks, and this is at high speed. I'm inclined to think it is a defect either in the glass or the design/placement of the windshield on the Subaru. I'm not an engineer, but this can't be normal for a car.
  20. Here in NJ the Subaru dealer charges $675, that's without tax, to replace the windshield and the surrounding moldings. It might be worth it to go through your insurance. I'd much rather pay $500 than close to $800.
  21. Thanks for that info. I will definitely do my homework before talking to SOA. I'm sure no company wants to replace anything at no cost to us, but in this case, I really do feel it is a flaw in the windshield.
  22. Thanks for that info. I will definitely look into that. I asked my insurance company and they deal with your same third party company. Neither of them mentioned that I could get OEM glass. I will have to bring that up to them.
  23. I went to the Subaru dealer yesterday and the service manager barely looked at it and quickly said Subaru won't cover it, it HAD to have been from a rock. I told him there was no rock mark, I'm the only who drives the car and never heard anything hit the windshield. He took pictures anyway and said he's send them to Subaru. I'll let you guys know what they say in about a week. The crack seems to have originated from below the molding, almost at the tip of the molding and the defrost heating element. I've never had a cracked windshield in any other car I've driven...even with pebbles hitting on them.
  24. I noticed that lack of trim too. I have a 3.6 Ltd, so I think they're all pretty much the same regardless of the engine or trim. I'm heading to the dealer tomorrow to see what they say. I've only had the car for a month and haven't done anything differently than what I've done with my other cars, so i'm not sure why it happened.
