  1. Man, nice find!! I checked on eBay but could only find full seatbelt assemblies for $100++. Part diagrams show the seatbelt assembly as one part number as well... It would be awesome to get these, seems unlikely though. I think the part is the same for 2006-2011 as well.

seat belt are always sold as a complete unit . yes 06 11 look similar also i saw accord .

i think you have to know a scrapyard so he will give you good price understanding what you will use only from the assembly !

now i doubt many peoples will go the trouble to convert all this .

if you find the right side i can send you the left !!

  2. by pure coincidence i find Honda Civic 12 15 have similar seat belt hanger !

they will fit from what i see , i didn t install but you can not find more similar !

so this is an alternative to the jdm seat belt that are maybe more difficult to find .

i can not confirm wish civic have the black seat belt but tis dont come from a special model like SI . it was a regular four doors but i dont know what trim .

pics, black one Civic , beige one Legacy GT .

  3. an other problem would be the wiring .

from what i saw the wiring on the 2006 is not so loose to extend . it can be possible if you untape all and strech a little . can not be sure a this point .

one solution will be to extend the the wiring , using the wiring from the 2008 .

  4. one issue is that the tubing diameter of the 2008 column is bigger , cause the add of the mechanism to be able to extend .

so the issue is the interaxial distance of fixation hole is different .

    i didn t mesure exactly unfortunately .

so have to find a solution for that .

one option will be to swap BEAM COMPLETE-STEERING (#50801AG02A9P for 2006 ) (#50801AG05A9P for 2008)

IF SOMEBODY IS SELLING A DASH BEAM 08 09 PLEASE PM

  5. the bottom of the column look kind different but is the same diameter .

the 2006 on the right seat on the bushing horn part# 34361AG000 .the end of the column is metal rounded and seat directly on the bushing that is inserted ont he firewall .

the 2008 have white bushing ,the metal end is not round , but i dont see this part on the diagram.

the diagram give only BUSHING-HORN #34361AG010 ( look same kind as 2006)

IF YOU HAVEA 2008 2009 PLEASE POST PICS SO WE CAN COMPARE HOW IT SEAT ON THE FIREWALL

from what i see there is no problem here the withe collar can seat on the horn bushing .

  6. Awesome!

I re-re-reread the thread, but what did you use to cover the headliner and sunblind pieces?

I'm deciding on reusing the non sunroof fabric, brushed black fabric or an oe charcoal alcantara...

Did you wrap the blind handle? Looks carbon like :)

For my convo, I'm using a prefl adm tbSTi non sunroof wagon interior to postfl sunroof gt spec b.

Hopefully all I'll need will be to dye or wrap my headliner and blind, and the my12+ sti sunroof switch with the seatbelt led mod.

Re the latter, how did you get such clean cuts for the led convo? Dremel???

i covered with a oem kind fabric that match subaru .there is divers suppliers that have access to oem fabric style .the problem is to get it is very expensive and stock are limited , so not easy to get same one each time . i had expereince in the past from sample and you can receive something different .also the fabric i used was very difficult to work with . it look good in pictures but is not satisfactory .

i re covered the pillar also with the same fabric , for the headliner i had to add a foam .

i contacted a manufacturer of headliner that look very good , way cheaper and many colors available . will post info soon .

i recomend that you find a fabric made for headliner , as you will need something that are more stretchable .was talking with this company ,http://www.daleys.com.au/products/view/412 , you can ask for samples .

the sun shade handle is carbon , i made a mold of the original since is not available in black .

to cut the sti map light i use diamond tool on pneumatic die grinder and some hand sanding . dremel will be perfect .

this parts is build to fit on the oem air box ? it is a copy of the oem parts ?

from what i saw on google i think not !

  9. i m starting this thread but will update later , as i m frustrated for now , i fail !

is not often this day that i have the chance to work on my car and this was not easy as i was thinking !

the reason for swaping the column is to have the steering closer to you for a better driving position , this apply to me and is different for everybody , but usually taller people will want that .

05 06 column have a tilt ajustment and 08 09 have tilt and extension .

maybe one of many other reason why you should shop for an 2008 up legacy !

so i will devellop in this thread , the difference between and the work needed to succeed . from what i saw is not impossible .

also if somebody already did it please share here .
